A person should continously look for ways to develop his skills, abilities and competencies to enhance his performance. Through effective skill enhancement, I will become more capable in the field of auditing, more competent, build confidence in myself and also better help in achieving my goals.
Having clearly outlined personal development goals will help to improve my performance in any area of life, yet the benefit depends on the effort you put forth to fulfil those goals. I as a trainee auditor, my first personal goal is to build and improve a good relationship with my colleagues and clients. After all, team cohesion depends on mature working relationships, as people generally work better together if there’s a personal touch to their relationship.
Having a positive professional approach can lay the foundation for your ultimate success. Because each person’s role in the organization either directly or indirectly has an impact on the performance, it is necessary to nourish these working relationships in order to work in harmony with others.
Secondly, defining my own path of success.. Knowing what “success” means to me will help you clarify what you need to do to achieve it. Once I dig deep to uncover the values and purpose, I will recognize that if I try to chase everyone else's idea of what success is, I won’t achieve it. In doing this, I have to make it a point to not compare yourself to other people. The things that I see other people have don’t define or impact your success. Because at last, I amthe only one who can decide if I have achieved your goals thus far.
Last but not the least, I would like to find for new challenges. Looking for new challenges in the organisation will help keep the job entertaining and fulfilling. This personal development goal displays the ambition and can be especially helpful for your organization if they are always coming up with new ideas. People who have a growth mindset believe that they can continue to develop their talents throughout life.
These people are often able to achieve more than those with a fixed mindset, who believe that they were born with their abilities already set into place and therefore don’t invest time or energy into learning new skills. As people with a growth mindset are continuously aiming to better themselves, they are able to break away from complacency and achieve their goals.
