Including another 2 billion dollars regarding retailers, summing up to $22 billion that year.

Adobe Photoshop is unquestionably recognised as one of the most expensive extensions to an individuals computer, but even this significant application is not safe from the epidemic of piracy. In one day, on average, Adobe photoshop will develop a loss of $18.7 million, as one copy is worth $999.

The country with the highest rate of piracy is Vietnam, at 94%. It continues as the country with the most substantial rate of piracy in the world. China, with 92%, is followed as the country with the second-highest piracy rate.

If you fall into the category of what is listed, you will be punished.

Penalties up to 5 years imprisonment and fines of up to $250 000 can apply to the culprit. Though if the specific case is bad enough, the individual could be sent to the Crown Court, where the outcome could impose an unlimited fine amount and up to 10 years imprisonment.

Some other sub-standard elements can arrive with the instalment and download of pirated software. In addition to legal consequences, the consumer could experience online viruses and a corrupt device.

One method that could be the solution for this predicament is one that the owners of the overall internet browser could participate in. They could take part in the banning and takedown of websites that are reported as “providing infringing copies of media”. The vendor could then be located, and penalties will be applied. This action could benefit both the security of each user and minimise the amount of infringing-content sellers on the internet-software.

Issue #3:

The final major difficulty of software piracy is the increasing availability of infringing media. The amount of unique methods an individual could partake in to pirate software is substantial, making this issue an ethical problem to face.

Soft-lifting, one of the most harmful and common techniques used to infringe media, involves an individual purchasing a single licensed copy of software and continuing to load that software file onto several other devices, violating licensing terms. This method could be recognised as “AirDrop” sharing, and usually takes place on a schooling campus.

The second and most familiar procedure to pirate content is online piracy, taking place on the internet. When an illegal website is constructed, when entered, it will present a download button that will immediately copy the file and deliver it to the individuals device when it is clicked. This is the fastest-growing, and most dangerous method of downloading copied files, as malware and viruses are hidden in many sites that provide the pirated-media, leaving many people with a ruptured gadget.

  2. Install a compulsory software-update on all devices of each electronics brand that targets files on the computer, and if necessary, eliminates any potential, or gathered pirated media found.
