It is expected for every doctor to have adequate knowledge in the medical field, but it is also necessary, especially today, to have good values towards other people. It is not always enough to have adequate knowledge of the medical field but the value upon doing the work is also appreciated. The roles to follow in the professional world is dependent to what is needed and to what will most help the current situation of society. There is more to just leaning into the medical scene and doing their job to cure and aid people. I believe that roles in the professional world evolve from time to time. Most importantly, I believe they should also act as role models and as inspirations to those who aspire to be doctors, too. In the status quo, most of those who aspire to become a doctor are discouraged due to lack of financial support, and lack of confidence due to some doctors who tend to be so proud of themselves to the extent that it causes discouragements to other people. In my opinion, it is also the responsibility of doctors to encourage those who are eyeing to be a doctor someday, especially in today’s time. It will definitely help if they see people who encourage them and people who believe in them. Doctors should use their knowledge or even experience to encourage aspiring doctors. The said practice of compassion and commitment to one’s professional duties will be a great concrete example to those who want to be doctors someday.
