Pro-Life: Why Abortion Should Stop
Pro-Life. How many are aware with Pro-Life?
Pro-life is an anti-abortion, supporting the belief that it is immoral for a pregnant woman to have the freedom to choose to have an abortion. Although,What does it mean to be pro-life? A good definition of what it means to be pro-life is simply, this: Being pro-life means to be against the unjust taking of human life. But what does abortion do? Let’s define abortion, is it good? Is it bad? I believe that it is bad because it takes innocent human lives. It is also counted as genocide; because abortion kills children. It is caused more often than not, by teenage pregnancy or rape. So this leads me to my argument; I believe that abortion should stop! Why? Here are my reasons: It’s because it is the unlawful taking of an innocent life. Taking of an innocent life is genocide, and genocide under Philippine Law is wrong.
Further, as a Christian Community we uphold to protect and defend the most fundamental right of humankind, and that is… the right to live for human beings from the beginning of life in the womb until their death. We are bound to live the life God wrote for us travel. There are arguments and challenges that – “what if a woman was raped she gets pregnant? Should she bear and live with the reminders of her unfortunate past?” It is foolish to suggest that their future, educational and career goals must end because they got pregnant! With the choice of support programs which exist today, young women or teens can still pursue their dreams without imparting with their children.
Support groups and psychiatrist assist women to correct their fears and most of them end up stronger and have a more positive outlook in life. According to Joyce Kilmer, a graduate from Harvard university, “life is God’s gift, but not a parent’s project, only God can give life and I’m not God” in which she has a point. Only God can give and take life. You may also think I am camping on religion; I am not, because Laws against murder are based on actual laws. The killing of children be it outside or “in-utero-- violates human laws. And abortion shouldn’t be an excuse, because based on studies; women who had an abortion are 4 times more likely to die within the next year after the procedure; with higher rate of suicide, murder and drug overdose. Although I empathize with rape victims, I feel more to the unborn children who could not defend and argue for their life. Please note that a baby is not the worst thing that could ever happen to a rape victim — but abortion is! We need to educate the public this truth and not the other way around. I am a pro-lifer not because I am a Catholic, but rather abortion would do worse to the victim rather than bring peace. Second, they can end up in jail rather than a free journey in life.
Thirdly, children are blessings because they are angels in the flesh. As the American declaration of Independence would put it… “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, which among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”According to Ashley Osbhar’s award winning essay on pro-life:“All human life, born or unborn, has value. It is time we all start respecting and protecting it.”In short we all have value regardless if we are born or unborn because all lives matter and are gifts from god. We should all start loving and taking care of it because human lives matter.
