Facial expression tends to be more expressive, as we can read through anybody emotion without speaking the words. While reading about the positive emotion like appreciation, sympathy, and gratitude can urge us to be progressively reaching in achieving our objectives and help us avoiding immoral behavior as they are nourishing our social connections with prompts more achievement and happiness. Learning facial expression helps to know a different way of understanding nonverbal communication. For example, on last Thursday, my friend was upset that her dog was sick, as I saw her, she did not say anything but looking at her expression I could figure her out that she was sad. Her eyebrows were moving downwards while talking, she could not able to speak properly, and had tears in her eyes. However, I can say learning facial expression help to build up my connection stronger when someone around me is confused, sad, and happy.

Original Debates concerning universality versus culture specificity and the original universality Studies Regarding universal of feeling, there was a huge reaction and the opinions of the various anthropologist. Darwin put up his opinion that there are some of the expression that was universal. Darwin’s argument was about facial expression was universally for human races. In addition, we human beings were blessed with the expression which is connected without feeling, and the feeling helps us for the conveying and stimulation of behavior, and the knowledge about emotions is available to humans. He proposed that emotions and the expressions have involved crosswise over the various species, which were developmentally adaptive, naturally intrinsic, and universally over people and even non-human primates. All individual from different cultures and races can possess the capacity to express their feelings in the very same curse, fundamentally through their through facial expressions. He explained how God has created facial muscles to express human emotions. Whereas Margaret Mead and Ray Birdwhistell expressed that facial expression cannot be universal because there is a difference between culture and expressive behavior. They draw the line denying that the expression was universal as they spare no effort to deny the characters forming a foundation of emotional expression. nevertheless, mead and Birdwhistell had argued that all cultures have different emotional expressions and language, therefore, culture and language are required to have a language to express the emotions from the face too.

The prototypical expression of the seven universal emotions and the function of each emotion.

  1. Anger: it is believed to most recognized expression all around the world. It does not matter which religions, age, gender, and ethnicity we are it is very easy to detect, if the person is angry. According to observation facial expression is more accurate in detecting emotions than that of vocal expressions. Some animal attribute vocalizations to express the nature of relationship, danger, threats and their emotion states. As Darwin states, “facial expression is universal” people express themselves similarly and identify all over different cultures. there are many elements of communication by speech that are coordinate of various emotion stages. The muscles of facial expression, and the signals are sent independently by the brain to produce speech that is setup in the throat. Hence, signals that are sent produces the change in voice structure within each distinct emotion, which later produces distinguishing qualities equivalent to each emotion. The rate of correct interpretation of facial expression is between 60 to 95 percentage whereas the rate of vocal expressions of emotion around 54 to 70 percent that is made across culture.

The of feeling that our eyes can express is genuinely expressive whether is from happiness to sadness, from fear to anger or from disgust. our eye can turn out to be amazing path to our interior state. We utilize our eyes to take in our general surroundings and to mirror the world inside us. It uncovers our internal responsive condition with our facial appearance and to explain them precisely is one of the basic of social interaction. During the classroom exercise, we were given the task to observe both facial and vocal expression. It is easy to figure it out the seven universal expression rather than listening them. While observing seven facial expression, each expression has different reaction. Whereas, listening to seven different emotion of the people voices seems to be same. So, facial expression is more accurate than vocal expression.

Micro expressions are explained as a pattern of the human body that us sufficiently huge to be detectable but is too concise to convey emotion. Micro expressions occur quickly on face and are usually missed when observing the facial expressions. Looking over the class exercises, we were shown seven different universal emotions; anger, sadness, happiness, fear, contempt, disgust, and surprised. When we observe those emotion, it occurs quickly between 1/15 to 1/25 of a second. As all expression shown, occurred fast but still we could indicate the person’s emotions we figured that the face is the best indicator of a person's emotions.
