The Great Barrier Reef is home to numerous creatures of undersea life. According to data on the Australian Government: Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority, the number of creatures includes: 600 sorts of gentle and difficult corals, greater than 100 species of jellyfish, 3000 sorts of mollusks, 500 species of worms, 1625 sorts of fish, 133 sorts of sharks and rays, and greater than 30 species of whales and dolphins. Climate change is inflicting great terrible influence. It is frequent expertise now that world warming is creating a lot of turmoil for the duration of the complete planet. Sea temperatures are rising, storms and different natural failures are turning into a whole lot stronger, and the melting of the polar ice caps are placing many species of animals in chance of turning into extinct, for example polar bears. One of the most negative forces in opposition to the Reef is world warming due to greenhouse gases and mistaken disposal of poisonous wastes.

Due to the toxins leaked in the waters and expanded temperatures many of the coral reefs died and had thick layers of algae developing on pinnacle of it. In the northern part of the Great Barrier Reef of 520 solely 4 confirmed no signs of bleaching. Bleaching being exactly as it sounds; the reefs lose their beautiful shade and end up ghost white. These facts prove that much work wishes to be carried out to shop the Reef and different aquatic areas from the damage of factory and human’s pollution. More legal guidelines want to be reinforced that bans dumping waste into water which sooner or later spreads all over the world. The best elements that Australia itself has on the injury of the reef is dumping silt into the water rather of creating a proper dumping site. Although Australia had proposed plans to protect the reef from poisonous waste they had been found to be inconclusive, the cause being that the only immediately choice would be to dump the waste on land which can harm areas of wetland on the island. Then to honestly construct an acceptable disposal site would price the continent billions of dollars.

All of the motives cited before and the fact that the Great Barrier Reef has already lost more than half of its coral are very integral reasons to step up and protect it from either further damage and perhaps extinction. The Reef is home to limitless numbers of undersea organisms and gives oxygen stability for the duration of the entire planet. This goes to exhibit just how a good deal we all depend on the Reef. We all rely on it to maintain our best of life, fish feed from, breed and are seeking for shelter from it. If the Reef continues to die they will have no home and leaves them to fall prey to predators and can sincerely dissipate many species of fish. We people rely on it for fish as well, but more importantly precious oxygen that we can't live without.
