As we look through the image, shapes are used to indicate the construction of the tower. They are found everywhere from artwork to architecture. Shapes are a segment in architecture, without them there wouldn’t be a strong structure. The Eiffel Tower is very similar to the geometric shape of a four-sided pyramid. Triangles are the most important shapes when it comes to building large structures as they hold the structure together. At the base there are four large half circles on each side of the tower. Throughout the painting Delaunay has used a lot of triangles and parallelograms. The railings and windows also form perfect rectangles. There are vertical lines all over the background which are used to provide support to the tower. Apart from the tower, the artist also focuses on the surrounding city. He brings the view of buildings from different angles and surrounds the whole tower in its arm. Delaunay has also focused on the windows which are reflected by sunshine. He also used circles to represent clouds. By this he is trying to convey the France’s industrial revolution.

Moreover, color is also an important feature in this art. It is an important element to look for an image. It creates mood and can be used to communicate without words. The right use of color can tell a story about an image. It is an amazing way to express your emotions and creativity. Delaunay used perfect texture and elements to paint the picture. The background has more light which directs our attention to look at the tower. He used light colors purposely so that the viewer pays more attention to the tower and less to the surroundings. The background has a mixture of various colors like grey, black and green. These colors are used to give a different effect on the art. If we observe carefully, the clouds are dark and the sunshine makes it look yellow. They all are clustered together. The windows are highlighted to show natural light passing through the them. The artist has used fade colors for the surrounding buildings so that it looks old and bright colors for Eiffel Tower as the artist wants to gain the attention towards it.

In the final analysis, art provides us with a deeper understanding of emotions, self-awareness and more. There are lot of elements used in art and it requires a good understanding what the artist is trying to say. Robert Delaunay used all the elements and described the art perfectly. He perfectly contrasted background with color. The artist has done complete justice to the French architecture by using good texture and using several viewpoints at once. The art itself gives us a glimpse of Eiffel Tower symbolizing progress of France’s Industrial Revolution. It is a good way to denote urbanization. The image is very important as it is an architectural wonder and is an attraction to the tourists around the world. The Eiffel Tower has been the symbol of France and Paris for decades.
