Once Peter gets his job at the Daily Bugle, taking pictures of himself as Spiderman for J. Jonah Jameson. He has to deal with Jameson being a constant jerk and Peter has to deal with Jameson talking bad about Spiderman everytime he turns around is a very difficult task for him to do. When he tries to talk Jameson out of talking bad about him it always gets him fussed at and he has to take it otherwise his only form of income would be taken away from him. He has to deal with the defamation of Spiderman and still take photos for the paper. This relates to the audience because as young adults they have to sometimes deal with bosses that are less than pleasant to deal with. The audience is sympathetic to Peter's plight in the working class.

Spiderman’s personality is also a major relatable thing for the intended audience. His personality is something we all relate to from his sarcasm to his self deprecating humor. Those two characteristics combined is something that all of the audience has in common with the character. In every element that is Spiderman there is always a reflection of his sarcasm. The intended audience all have an element of sarcasm in their overall personality, along with our own self deprecating humor. Nothing about spiderman is unrealistic. Everything about him is so relatable to the audience.

Sometimes he gets overwhelmed. He has to often help the people of New York be safe from the many threats that crop up, and he even sometimes has to help the Avengers save the world from a major threat. However that not all he has to do he has a job to manage he has school work he has to do. He has to manage both of these separate lives. It is easy for him to get overwhelmed more often than not. He even has to deal with all his personal issues whirling around him. A lot of the audience understands the struggle because that have to do a lot of the things that he has to do, they can get overwhelmed just as much as Spiderman can.

Throughout all of Spiderman movies or comics he struggles with relationship problems. But in the movie that I am discussing he has to deal with maintaining a relationship but also trying to maintain a relationship that is kind of falling apart. Mary Jane feels that Peter is to busy being there for everyone else that he constantly puts off being there for her to save everyone else. That in itself puts a real problem in their relationship. She feels neglected and it makes her unhappy and Peter constantly struggles to make things right with her something always gets in the way. The way Peter struggles with his relationship is a real way the targeted audience can relate to them because young adults tend to have their own relationship struggles themselves. At one point he even loses Mary Jane to his best friend Harry. Harry is another story as well.

Harry loses his father Norman because Norman tried to kill Peter with his glider and peter dodged it therefore killing norman on impact. Once Harry loses his father and SPiderman brings him home, Harry is there when he leaves the body of Norman on the couch and then Harry vows to get revenge on spiderman for his father's death. That begins the downfall of Peter’s friendship with Harry. Basically Peter loses his best friend since elementary school and he has to face losing him which is something he never thought he would have to do. Peter losing Harry relates to the audience because as the audience grows up they sometimes lose friends that they thought they would have forever. The pain that comes along with the loss of his friend is something that the audience has undoubtedly felt at some point in their lives.

Another way that makes relating to spiderman easy is he keeps it real always. He did not come from a rich family and he isn’t a god. Spiderman grew up in a two bedroom house went to highschool and had to get an actual job in order to support himself. You can clearly see that he is very close to his family and he understands the struggles of the common man. His powers can’t overcome the struggles of a common person it is just another thing he has to learn to manage. He is also very in touch with his emotions which everyone can see he does not bottle them up and push them down like all the other heroes he handles them and he acknowledges them for what they are.

Spiderman is part of the audience because the issues that he faces in his everyday life are similar to the issues that those in the audience have to face throughout their lives. As demonstrated by analyzing all the issues that Peter Parker also known as Spiderman had to face in the first Spiderman film that came out in 2002. As an audience member you can relate to Peter Parker the most out of all the superheroes in the Marvel universe. It also helps the audience relate by being based in the real world.

Everything that Spiderman goes through it something that any member of the audience could relate to. From his personality to his family losses, to his struggles in his young adult life. Spiderman is an individual that anyone could sit down and talk through your problems with because he has either went through them or is facing them. Therefore Spiderman is a member of the audience no matter how you look at him because he knows the struggles of young adults, and he knows that they're able to be overcome.
