Bogart, Cotten, Brando American actors’ added classic touch into movies and screenplays of the post-world war 2 eras. Humphrey Bogart born 25th December 1899 and died 14th January 1957 was an American actor who presumed the “tough guy” role in Hollywood. During his acting period, he displayed world wise, lone adventure, with a sense of idealism hidden in ruthless exterior. 1941 two movies marked his pivotal point in his career. He acted as a killer with distressed soul and had morals. This gave him a major role in 1942 movie Casablanca which garnered success to win best picture Oscar award. Bogart who also was nominated gained a new status. His new status contributed to impressive film credits and 1951 African Queen Movie gave him his first Academy award. It was his ability as killer and moral person that batched him the “tough guy” role.

Joseph Cotten born 15th may 1905 and kicked the bucket in 6th February 1994 was an American actor famous for 1940s classical films. He portrayed a false public appearance, cynical in nature in those films. He impressed with a fine performance in the 1942 movie The Magnificent Ambersons which was rated a masterpiece. The 1940s worked well for him as very movie he starred in turned to be a classic.

Toshiro Mifune an actor in the Japanese films was born on 1st April 1920 in China and died on 24th December 1997. He was greatly recognized in the post-world war 2 eras for vibrant and energetic Samurai character. 1947 gave him his turning point and earned him success in his role as a gangster in the movie Drunken Angel. He then attained international fame in the film Rashomon of 1950 for his role as a proud mugger. Mifune was primarily linked with the image of a complicated and random Samurai.

Marlon Brando an American motion picture actor was born on 3rd April 1924 and died on 1st July 2004. He was greatly renowned for focusing on his inward feelings rather than intellect. He was expelled from Shattuck Military Academy then opted to study acting. He had his breakthrough playing as Jesus in Hannele 1944 movie. In 1946 movie A Flag Is Born proved he was the most promising actor. In 1947 he achieved a star type by acting as a brutal and emotionally posed character. He received his first Oscar nomination for his role in 1951 movie A Streetcar Named Desire.

Jean Paul Belmondo was born on 9th April 1933; he was and is a French cinema actor who portrayed new wave French antiheroic spirit. His early acting years depicted him as graceful agility and easygoing charisma. He made his mark to the cinema from the stage with minor series. 1962 he gained fame from the Sword of Blood in which he acted as a Robin Hood figure.

Finally, the actors stated above contributed to the shaping of films of the post-world war 2 eras. They brought up a breed of characters that the world had never seen before. This also influenced greatly character development in the acting time.
