The first fallacy that founded in this article was authority fallacy. Authority fallacy can be defined as a person who does not have power to speak and act like have power to speak. In this article page two with title the consequences of redefining marriage had founded authority fallacy. In paragraph four, there was a political blogger with name Andrew Sullivan said that marriage had become the conformation emotional commitment between two adults. The way to prevent authority fallacy was find other resources that will back up your argument.

The next fallacy that founded in this article was appeal to authority fallacy. The definition of appeal to authority fallacy was using the opinion or position as an authority figure or institution of authority on place of an actual argument. In this article with title weakening marriage is the goal had founded one appeal to authority fallacy. In paragraph one, a former president George W says that agree same-sex couples to enter into a marriage will weakening the institution of marriage.

Other than that, strawman fallacy also be found in this article. Strawman fallacy was misrepresenting someone’s argument to male it easier to attack. On page four of this article with title the norm of exclusivity had founded strawman fallacy. In paragraph three, “openness” and “flexible” are Sullivan’s euphemisms for sexual infidelity. In New York Times Magazine profile, a gay activist named Dan Savage encourage spouse can have sex outside their marriage. But New York Times recently reported that they founded no exclusivity between gay couples for heterosexuals, it’s called cheating or affairs, said by Colleen Hoff. The way to prevent strawman fallacy was define the argument more clearly to let another arguer understand.

The fourth fallacy was the texas sharpshooter fallacy. The definition of texas sharpshooter fallacy was cherry-picking data clusters to suit an argument or finding a pattern to fit a presumption. The last fallacy that founded in this article was anecdotal fallacy. Anecdotal fallacy can be defined as using personal experience or isolated example instead of a valid argument, especially to dismiss statistics. In last paragraph of title redefining marriage threatens religious liberty had founded one anecdotal fallacy. The New Mexico human rights commission is suing a photographer for refusing to film a same-sex “commitment ceremony”. Doctors in California are being sued for refusing to perform artificial insemination on same-sex partner. The owners of a bed-and-breakfast who refused to rent their facilities for same-sex civil unions and receptions have been accused of violating the state’s anti-discrimination laws. All above been sued because of the recognized same-sex marriage will trigger anti-discrimination provisions.

Conclusion

In conclusion, based on my opinion I will not support same-sex marriage and same-sex couples. The reasons of not support them is because I believe that marriage should only be one man and one woman should not be man couple with man or woman couple with woman. Other than that, same-sex marriage will also affect the childbearing. If a gay couple or lesbian couple want to bearing a child, they should have illegal sex with each another. So that, unloyalty between couples will happen.
