In the past, Emirati mothers have close relations with their children because they gave them birth and always there for their help. Fathers were mostly out from home because they had to earn food while mothers were stationed at home for their kids. They did every little task of their kids from washing their clothes to bathing, from feeding to nurture them. It was a great experience for the Emirati young girl to become a mom because it revolutionized her life and she was always caring about her kids. This developed a sense of compassion and association between Emirati mom and kid. Furthermore, mom was the one who proved to be the first school of the children through ages. Emirati Moms were responsible for the moral and ethical character building of their kids. Fathers barely got any spare time to spend with their kids because of their urgency of work so mom was the basic figure that is responsible for character and personality building so that their kid became a civilized person in society. Moreover, Emirati moms always cared about their eating and drinking habits before and after pregnancy because these habits directly impacted the physical and mental health of the kids. Emirati mom preferred activities that helped to strengthen the mental capabilities of their kids such as sewing and knitting.

Today, things are changed due to the rapid race of the developments in the world. The economic system of this modern world is very complex and after the oil boom in the country mothers have more resources to hire caretakers for their kids so that they can be free from responsibilities. This has poured a devastating impact on the relation between mother and kids. The majority of mothers in the UAE are unable to spend time with their kids like their fathers. They hired nursemaid to take care of their kids and despite all the artificial care that kids get from the nursemaid stay incomplete because they miss the affection and compassion of a mom which nursemaid failed to deliver. Moreover, in the absence of the mother kid learn things from the nursemaid as per their knowledge and background that may pour hazardous effects on the moral and ethical grounds of the kid. This deficiency of a mom in terms of nurture may affect the mental capabilities of the kids. Moreover, there is one more category of the moms in this developed world that are too indulged in the party life and do not ready to compromise their lifestyle for the sake of their kids. Sense of compassion and affection lost between the kid and mom in this modern world.

In conclusion to this essay in 500 words, my mother is one of those Emirati women who face challenges of her status, on the other hand, she has more privileges today than Emirati mothers in the past. Emirati moms in the past are bound of indoor responsibilities but today due to economic stability Emirati moms consider it to be the luxury to hire nursemaid and they do not share their time with kids like fathers. Today the world has seen a lot of changes in different spheres of the world and the family system is no exception.
