Albert Einstein was born in Ulm, Germany on March 14, 1879. He grew up in a middle class jewish family. His father's name was Hermann Einstein and his mothers name was Pauline Einstein. He also had a sister named Maja Einstein. As a child he became interested in music, math, and science. He come across two “wonders”. The first is when he was 5 years old he came in contact with a compass. The second wonder came at the age of 12 when he discovered a book of geometry. He called this his “sacred little geometry book. At this time he became deeply in contact with religion. He sang several songs in praise to god and chanting religion songs on his way to school. However after reading several science books that contradicted his religious beliefs. This would leave an everlasting impression on his life. He would often fell out of place and he would be victimised by the Prussian style education system. He was even told that he would never amount to anything. Einstein's education was disrupted again but this time by his father. His father repeated failures at work. After his father company failed, he was forced to move to Milan and Albert was left to finish school while living in a boarding house. He was to join the military at the age of 16. Albert ran away only 6 months later to land on his surprise his parents house. He was fascinated that the needle was moved by an invisible force. In 1894 he dropped out of school and moved to switzerland where he later resumed his schooling in the swiss federal polytechnic. In 1896 he gave up his german citizenship and then in 1901 he became swiss citizen.

In 1905 Albert Einstein wrote 4 groundbreaking articles. The first article was about quantum theory who was invented by Max Planck. This article explained the phenomenon known as photoelectric effect. This is when a material will emit electrically charged particles when hit by light. The second article he wrote was about the existence of atoms. He started this after analyzing the phenomenon of brownian motion in which the tiny particles were suspended in water. His 3rd and most famous was about Isaac newton's space and time thirom and James Maxwell´s idea that speed of light is constant. To prove this he introduced his theory of relativity. This theory was that the law of physics held the speed of light is constant in all inertial frames. The last article he wrote was relating mass and energy. At the time this was considered separate. As a result for this Einstein this equation was created (E = mc2) expressing the relationship. In the 1920s he considered this equation for the creation of the atomic bomb, but he ultimately dismissed the idea but left it open for him to come back to.

Einstein continued to work at the patent office until 1909, when he found a full time job as a academic post at the University of Zurich. In 1913 he arrived at the University of Berlin where he was made director of the Institute for physicians. In 1915 he finally published his theory of relativity. He considered this his masterwork. This theory found that gravity and motion can affect time and space. Einstein's principle held gravity pull going one direction is equivalent to an acceleration of speed in the opposite direction - If light is bent by acceleration it must be bent by gravity. In 1919 two expeditions were sent during a solar eclipse found that light rays from distant stars were deflected by the sun. The theory of relativity was the first major theory of gravity since the last theory was Newton's law and that was more than 250 years ago. As a result of this London Times proclaimed the ¨Revolution of Science¨ and a new theory of the universe. Einstein begun touring the world giving speeches in America, England, France, and Japan. And in 1921 he got a nobel prize for his work on the photoelectric effect. Einstein later started working on theories to form a new science of cosmology.

In 1933 Einstein, a pacific jew he become a target in Weimar Germany were many citizens were suffering from the Great War debt. In December 1932, A month before Hitler came to power, Einstein decided to leave Germany never to return again. He emigrated to the US and took a position at the newly founded Study of Princeton in New Jersey. In the late 1930’s Albert research and equation help with the creation of the atomic bomb. Albert was contacted by his old friend and business partner Leo Szilard. He warned him to tell America about Germany's plan with uranium. In 1939 Einstein wrote a letter to Roosevelt urging him to improve funding for uranium before Germany could get ahead of them. During the war, many of his colleagues were asked to move to New Mexico to work On the Atomic Bomb. Albert worked on the Manhattan Project. In 1940 6,000 dollars was given to the project and under supervision of L.J Briggs. On December 6, 1941, the project put under the direction of the office of scientific research. Einstein was approached by the Navy to help them evaluate descines to for the first atomic bomb. He also helped out the war effort by selling his 1905 articles to the US for 6.5 million dollars. Einstein was on vacation when he heard the news that America dropped the bombs on Japan. After this, Albert wanted to stop the creation of the hydrogen bombs. Einstein's most famous quote on this was that “god does not play dice with the universe”. Throughout the end of his life he did many field theories. His last publish was about the theory in scientific america in 1950. This article however would never be finished. He died from Abdominal aortic aneurysm on april 18, 1955. He died at the age of 76 years old.
