What Would Life Be Like Without It Today?

Technology would be hectic since we are so used to having it around. Technology runs the world and without it many will be lost. The thought of not having it is scary because it has not been a day where I did not use some type of technology. About 96% of people in the U. S. use it daily. Not having it would cause chaos. Imagine waking up and all the technology you owned was gone. What would you do? You can’t call anyone to make plans for that day. You can’t watch the news to see what is happening in the world. You can’t check the weather to see what you should wear that day. This would halt many of your daily activities. Without technology, many people would be out of jobs. The U. S technology industry employs more than 6. 7 million people.

This would affect each on these people. The unemployment rate would sky rocket because this is about 2% of people in the U. S. without a job. That number may not seem high but that’s a big portion of the U. S. Taking away technology would take entertainment form many people. There would be no TV series to watch such as Power. Netflix would be gone and no one could binge watch their favorite shows anymore. Children would not be able to watch their favorite cartoons. YouTube would also be gone for people who use that as a source of entertainment. This would cause many people to be bored. Having technology also saves money. Instead of buying books you can download them on your phone or tablet.

The downloadable versions are far cheaper than the hard copies. You can download as many as you want on your electronic device. This goes for textbooks and novels. This can also save time because instead of searching a whole library for one book, you can download it on your phone. This method is very helpful and cheap, sometimes!Now that we talked about the way it saves money, let’s talk about how it can be very pricey. Buying things such as phones, tablets, televisions and other things can be very expensive. The iPhone that was just previewed a few weeks ago will cost more than $1000. Many people will be waiting in line and preordering this iPhone. TV’s go from about $150 to $900. It all depends on the size and brand but still, it’s very pricey. No technology has many flaws to it. Many people depend on their alarm clocks on their smartphones to wake them up each morning or for whenever they set it. This would cause many to be late for work or an important event that day. This would be a problem because many have trouble waking up on time. What could you possibly do without technology? Many things you live off of everyday are ran by computer systems.

The most common things you live off of are power, gas and water. Think about not being able to take a shower or heat your breakfast up because you have no power and water. This would cause you to have a bad start to your day. How would you get places without technology? Many cars are ran by controller area network or in other words an onboard computer. There is no Uber or Lyft app for you to call for a ride to work or school. The city bus no longer runs because it is ran by technology also. Can’t call a friend to give you a ride to work because you have no phone. You’re basically stuck and lost without it. This would shut many big businesses down, such as airports and hospitals. How would you buy a plane ticket beforehand? No one wants to wait in the line to buy a ticket at the airport. How would hospitals run their equipment without power? It is impossible and anybody being supported by technology inside the hospital would be seriously harmed. Technology runs the world. Without it many would be hurt and lost. It is essential to our life nowadays. There is not one place I can think of where you don’t need a computer.
