The Bible is what Christians use as a “survival guide” on how to live as an example of Christ in the modern world. Instead of adapting to the ways of life that the world has created, believers of God decide to follow the Bible which holds the ways God has always intended us to live by. The Bible isn’t just a doctrine because “God says so”. Famous Philosophers that ask things like, “Where do we go when we die? why is the world full of evil, etc.” The Bible is all reliable with no error and is proved through the tests of many biblical figures. Biblical InerrancyThe Bible is fully inerrant, meaning that it has no flaws coming from the word of God. The Bible is the word of God who is all powerful and cannot lie, therefore, all 66 books in the Bible are inerrant. “God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may greatly be encouraged”. God is omniscient, so he has infinite awareness, understanding and insight to what goes on with the universe. The New Testament discusses this often. Many of Christ’s disciples spread the word that scripture could not be undone because his word will forever go on as long as humans are on this earth. This is critical when it comes to speaking to non-believers because they want to know where arguments on creation and other topics come from. Defending the Bible cannot have any grey area for a single page when it comes to authenticity.

One of the most prominent Christian speakers, Billy Graham, explains why Biblical Inerrancy is so crucial. “Every Christian doctrine — whether it’s about God, sin or salvation — is drawn from the Bible. If we can’t trust the Bible, then we’ve lost the very foundation of our faith.” Christians cannot make any argument or spread God’s word if they do not truly believe that the Bible is inerrant. “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.” Interpretations of the Bible can be difficult for those who are new to the Lord, but what the Bible says is true is in fact true, and what is false is false. A separate argument would be that Biblical miracles, such as the resurrection of Christ, do not tie together with science. A literal resurrection of Jesus Christ’s body goes against the law of nature according to science. Jesus’ second coming was not just said and believed by the people back then. The empty tomb was discovered and recorded by people in the Bible and if this was accurate, based on the argument that the Bible is fully inerrant, these recordings are true.

“But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars — they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.” The concept of hell can be frightening to many and often, push people away from the idea of religion. Before an explanation behind Hell is given, God is all loving and has love for all of his children on earth, he is the only one capable of everlasting forgiveness. God does not even enjoy the deaths of the wicked and sinners. Hell was created for Satan and all of his followers.

The biggest misconception of this topic is believed by many that good people go to heaven and bad people go to hell. This is wrong, you don’t have to be a believer to be a good person. Jesus said, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” Everyone is born into the world a sinner which we inherited from the first sinner Adam. You become born again by believing in something bigger than yourself, that Jesus was sent here to die for your sins on the cross. Christ took our payment of sin and died for it so that we would not all be condemned to hell and its terror. Being born again is the price to enter heaven and avoid hell. Hell is probably full of many “good people” because the decided not to believe this. Satan is not in charge of Hell; he was casted away in the book of Revelation. Satan is opposed to God and wants nothing more than to distance people from God and his love. God threw him out of Heaven because he desired to be God instead of serve him. Satan is not perceived as a horned figure with a red pitchfork, but he can be evil. He is the “master of deceit” and tries to lure people into his beliefs just like he did with Eve.

Hell is a place without God’s presence and his glory so it is somewhere without any hope or happiness. Isaiah 47:14 says, “Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame.” Evangelist Billy Graham said, “It might surprise you to learn that the person who spoke the most about hell’s reality was Jesus. He repeatedly warned us not to take it lightly.” Graham is saying that because Hell is so bad, that does not mean as Christians we should avoid talking about it if Jesus spoke on it often. Hells purpose today is to eradicate sin from the earth. If it cannot go anywhere to be destroyed than the earth would be infected by it. God loves all of us but has to send sin somewhere. He wants to enjoy is creation and see the happiness in the universe he created. If there weren’t a hell, the world would be consumed by sin.

Conclusion

God is glorious! Often people struggle with not knowing how to live a “Christ like” life and think there are no answers because God does not answer directly when you ask him. The Bible is full of many answers and for someone who desires to live and progress as a believer in the Lord, should result to the lessons of the Bible. It is inerrant and has directions and stories on why we should believe in the amazing creator. Hell is scary to think about, but that doesn’t make it a fairytale. Hell is a real place that humans can be sent to if they choose to live in sin and not follow the commandments of the Bible. Luckily, no one is doomed. Jesus died on the Cross for everyone’s sins and if you accept him as your savoir, you will be reborn again and can live in his light away from Hell!
