Introduction

"Foundational to the Christian faith is the belief that humankind is created in the image of God." This belief affects the manner in which I interact with individuals within my profession as a business administrator in the project management sector to a great extent. This faith makes me believe that I should ensure ethics and uphold teamwork in my vocation. I should try to encourage my colleagues to foster positive interpersonal relations to ensure that the business processes are completed within the planned schedule as well as focusing towards achieving the set organization objectives. That is, I should ensure that employees within the organization are happy and interact with each other positively for they are all equal in the image of God.

Supervision of the Administrative Staff

As a business administrator, I am responsible for ensuring that all the business functions are running smoothly through supervision of the staff. The success of any operation within the business depends on the capability of the business administrator to coordinate the business staff as well as establishing policies and procedures within the organization. Therefore, believing in mankind as created in the image of God enables me to help motivate business staff by making sure that their working environment is often high-powered. Personally, I will ensure that the policies that are enacted do not compromise the well-being of the business staff. As employees of an organization, we are all equal in the eyes of God. For instance, Romans 2:11 states that “For there is no partiality with God.” Therefore, the policies and procedures that are put in place should not be biased in that every employee should be subjected to the same set rules and regulations without favor and prejudice on other employees of the same level. In addition, I will ensure that business staff is motivated towards collaborating with one another towards achieving set organizational goals in project management. Positive spirit in the workplace is achieved via appraising employees that record high performance. The process of determining the highly performed staff should be done fairly in regards to the fact that we are all created in the image of God which demands equality for all. Thus, I will supervise administrative staff fairly without discrimination regardless of their gender and physical abilities. Also, I enhance my interpersonal skills with other staff under me to ensure that there is a good relation that is good for the success of the business.

Managing Business Operations

The belief that humankind is created in the image of God made me ambitious dedicate the whole of my life motivating people and serving them through the profession of business administration. For instance, project management entails various activities that require skilled administrator who will ensure that project milestones are achieved within schedule and budget. It requires coordination of process within a project where each process is assigned its timeframe and staff who will perform the tasks within this process. Therefore, the fact that we are all equal in the eye of God mandates that allocation of project processes should be in accordance with the abilities of each personnel. For instance, Genesis 1:27 states that “So God created man in his image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” Therefore, I will ensure that work is equally divided among staff to foster morale and help them in every instance where possible. The working conditions should be conducive for all employees, and the compensation strategies that are implemented should be fair and enough to meet the necessities of the employees. Allocation of resources to business operations should be done in accordance with the set policies and procedures. Inadequate resources imply that personnel will not deliver to their full abilities, and they may not receive full compensation or even get fired for not performing well. Therefore, the belief of equality before God will enable me to ensure that every business operation receives adequate resources that will enable an employee to deliver the appropriate output.

Recruitment of Staff and Services

The success of business projects requires the presence of a competent administrator who will oversee the recruitment of staff and services. The belief implies equality among humanity. Therefore, I will ensure that staff is recruited fairly without discrimination. That is, the selection and recruitment process should be indiscriminative of gender and disability in that it should provide equal opportunity for all. Regardless of the physical ability of an individual, we are all equal in the eyes of the Lord because we are all created in the image of God. Therefore, a candidate that is physically healthy is not more qualified than a candidate who is physically challenged provided that they all possess the required professional qualifications. It implies that both candidates should be provided with an equal opportunity. In addition, I will ensure that there is no gender discrimination when recruiting staff or hiring external services because both men and women have the capability of performing a given task when given the chance. For instance, Galatians 3:28 state that “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Thus, I will ensure that gender should not be criteria for performing selection and recruitment process for the organization. That is, I will work towards upholding the belief of equality among humanity in the presence of God.

Conclusion

It is evident that the belief that humanity is created in the image of God have an inmpact in the manner in which I interact with individuals within my profession as a business administrator in the project management sector to a great extent. That is, it enables me to encourage my colleagues to foster positive interpersonal relations and focus towards achieving the set organization objectives through positively coordinating them and promoting equality within the business setup. Employees are encouraged to interact positively with each other. The belief of equality provides a platform for avoiding any discriminative activities such as resource allocation and recruitment.
