My Intend To Study Design Engineering In Canada

Since my childhood, I have always been fond of cars and bikes. I was always curious to know how the machines behind these models actually works. This ultimately grew my interest in the field of science and mechanics during my time at school which further motivated me to take up mechanical engineering in college. Furthermore, my inspiration towards this field is my brother who serves as a Senior Design Engineer at SML Isuzu Pvt. Ltd. He was the one who introduced me to the infrastructure of machines like Lathe Machine, Gear Cutting Machine, etc. and got me visited to Bus Body Manufacturing Plant, at a very small age. The curiosity to learn more about the building blocks of various mechanical products pushed me to pursue Mechanical Engineering in Chandigarh University, Mohali, (Punjab), India. While pursuing graduation, I got the opportunity to gain knowledge about basic machine processes like facing, turning, drilling by hands-on experience in a college workshop. Throughout the course of my studies, I of course perceived and learned the functionality of different mechanical systems of automobiles like I.C. engines, clutches, brakes, transmission and differentials but it soon became clear to me that in order to enhance my knowledge set and to get expertise in some specific domain of mechanical, I must enroll for Master’s Program.

After the successful completion of my under-graduate program, I joined PK Industries, Kurali, (Punjab), India as a Trainee. The company deals with manufacturing of various parts of tractors and trucks which are used in the assembly of engines. I got to learn about operation of various CNC Machines. Apart from my key responsibility area to operate CNC Machine, I have also groomed myself with essential skillset such as learnt to work with team, to meet deadlines, to work in stressful situations and to communicate & coordinate with associated people on work. Working with this company help me to realize my goal in life which is to make my career in the field of design and production.

The reason why I want to study further in Canada is because of their progressive education system that allows students from various countries to come on a same platform and bring their ideas and knowledge along themselves. Also, Institutions in Canada offer excellence in Applied Studies with a range of recognized programs which help students to expand their perspectives and technical skillset to grab attractive industrial positions. Thus, A Visa for a master’s program in Canada will allow me to polish myself on technical terms and introduce me with various like-minded as well as diverse people from different parts of the world whom I would work with and broaden my knowledge set and viewpoints.

I am inspired with the accomplished faculty members, environment, courses and the facilities Lakehead University has to offer to its students. The courses offered at this University are designed to meet the demands of the present-day industry covering Manufacturing, Production and R&D & Maintenance aspects amongst others. Completing my studies in Canada will expose me not only to new engineering concepts but also give a vision to latest mechanical traits. I want to bring back all the learnings and ideas with me and invest them to pursue my future as a design engineer in India, since I believe Indian economy is growing swiftly that would provide great opportunities to boost my career while allowing me to stay near to my family.
