They can be used in the following ways including exercising, commuting, racing and improves mental health. Motorcycles are affordable for buying and maintaining. Additionally, when one is running late they save up on time because they are not caught up in traffic. They are space-friendly as they take up little parking space. Below are the five major causes of motorcycle accidents.
Reckless driving. Reckless drivers are the individuals who ignore road rules and regulations. They hardly follow road signs and signals. They tend to dangerously change lanes. Also, they overtake where it is prohibited for example straight yellow/white straight lines. Ignorance of indicating direction to where one is turning to confusing the driver who is behind. Moreover, passing the prohibited areas example sharp bends, near a hill, etc. Also, speeding above the required limit. Recklessness on the roads can be as a result of alcohol and stress.
Next, being distracted while driving. Distraction can be defined as anything that takes your concentration on the wheel. It can be your eyes, hands or mind. Visual distraction can be as a result of events happening around the environment you are driving in. It may include accidents which had taken place before or the weather. Manual distraction includes eating, drinking, playing with the radio or even adjusting GPS. Cognitive distraction is being lost in thought. This can be due to stress or anxiety.
Moreover, drivers who lack experience and are of underage cause accidents. They are naïve and tend to use drugs often. Also, they over speed as a way of pleasing peers. Besides, the majority have not gone to a driving school, thus they will be unable to detect danger such as animal crossing, change of weather, etc. Underage drivers ignore to wear safety bells. They are often texting on their phone while listening to loud music. They lack skills, exposure, and knowledge about road safety. They enjoy driving at night.
Similarly, running red lights. It is dangerous and violating Government laws. This is where motorcycle riders ignore the red sign which means stop. Running the red lights can be as a consequence of over speeding. Also, a motorcyclist's rider can be tired as a result of long-distance rides. Also, riders can be under the influence of alcohol.
Besides, the environment and weather highly contribute. Bad weather causes the motorist to lose concentration on the road. Such bad weather includes fog, rain, high temperature, and rain. Rain leads to destruction on the roads example potholes. Potholes are very common on rough roads. It also leads to slippery roads. High temperatures cause the motorist not to see using the mirror which leads to the collision of vehicles. Fog and snow leads to invisibility on the roads.
In conclusion, motorcycles are both helpful and cause destruction to humans. Accidents are inevitable and will require skillful and experienced motorists. Life is precious, one should guard it. Motorists should be careful to drive in a suitable environment. However, inexperienced motorists end up having accidents. Reckless driving and distracted drivers cause accidents leading to lifetime injuries and deaths of many people.
