Leonardo da Vinci was a bright man who was so resourceful to the world. He made designs and inside them created flaws which acted as protectecting devices, this prevented his designs from being modified in that if a person tried to modify his designs he or she created another thing which was different from his. His inventions are still applicable in the modern day life which means that mostly the things that he made surpassed his living time. We can say that his inventions gave rise to advancements in technology.

Da Vinci made many contributions to the world. This were in the fields of engineering, medicine and arts. In the field of engineering, he performed great work which was based on geometry, aiming his curiosity on the understanding which covered the arc rapture. This field was not explored in the previous time and this meant that he was the one who first came up with this inventions. Da Vinci on this area came up with sketches which computed the intensity in which an arch could break. And this was a provision of a comprehension of the immediate concept of the line of fast forward movement which is the thrust. This knowledge and understanding was put into practice in the designs that he made which were hemispherical in shape. This included buildings to worship like the one he designed for the ruler of Milan. He had great analysis of materials which were of great strength and this to extensive levels made improvements in the implementations focused on engineering. His contribution in engineering did not end with the line of thrust. He went ahead and invented flying machines. This is because according to history, we are told that da Vinci had intense interest in ornthopters which was a flexible wing mechanical device that was designed in such a way that it had the features of birds.

Leonardo da Vinci’s aeronautic implementations acted ambitiously to the engineers who came after him but it was not until the first years of nineteen hundred era that flying mechanical devices which were real were implemented and started to function. To add in his inventions on machines, he build up a new zeal which focused on understanding how mechanical devices operated. He did this by providing a handwritten and documented script which explained the diversified parts of machines and how they worked. Da Vinci could twist the parts and put them together in a diversified manner in order to advance the machines so as to come up with a final device a thing which surpassed the knowledge of people. Da Vinci continued his engineering field contributions whereby he invented military tanks, catapults, combat devices and military tanks. All this were weapons which were used during war times. He made all these when he was working as an engineer for the government of Milan. After this and as a result of his unsettled mind due to his ability to look for new knowledge, he showed his engineering prowess on the side of hydrosphere. He extensively studied hydraulics and to proof his broad knowledge, he came up with canals which were located in Lombardy and Arno regions.

Hydrometer in this case was one of his inventions. This was a device which was all over known to measure liquid’s density or gravity. He also provided a documented journal which explained on the nature of water, how it flowed, laws that were explained in respect to currents and their relationship to stars, air and motion.Da Vinci was the first human being to provide a sketch of a parachute and this was in the fifteenth century. This was also a great contribution to engineering field as he looked on the aspect of moving air, the gravity, intensity of the parachute and the speed it could have. His parachute was characterized by cased linen cloth as it was strong and durable, being unable to be torn apart by wind easily. The cloth was fastened on the parachute by triangular kind of wooden poles which according to estimation were about seven meters of length. His invention was extra keenly studied as it could seduce any man to throw himself from above (any height regardless of where) and fail to experience any form of injury. The invention of this was on the year 1783 as during his time nobody could make the parachute as the technology was less for such a device to be made.

The artistic art of da Vinci placed him the famous world engineer. He was much known with bringing scissors to the world as he had so many ideas. This was for example implementing shoes which could be used to walk on water and even a plain which looked like a huge mechanical bat. All this ideas were primarily started with a drawing a thing which multiplied his popularity in artistic work. He continued to show his artistic work in the following: He designed many sketches in his art work which are explained here. He sketched a prototype tank which was to be powered through peddling by eight men in number whereby they would be using their hands. The sketch of the tank on its wheels had a plating made of wood which covered the wheels which were metallic. Canons were put at the edges and this allowed the soldiers to make their shooting from inside the tank. He also drew a metallic man. This was a ‘robotic knight’ which was humanoid and was capable to raise its arm and could do waving , could make its mouth open and even make an attempt to sit down as a normal human being . As da Vinci had studied the different parts of human inner body, he was able to understand how joints encompassed by ligaments and muscles within human’s body co-interacted to enable the bones move. As a result of this, he designed the metallic man in such a way that it could move. He had imitated functioning of normal human being and he used a number of pulleys, electronica wires and gears which could be operated by use of hand crank. He continued his artistic work by drawing an ornithopter. This came eventually after he was inspired by birds and bats which he had studied as he had a great curiosity to fly. He gave a direction that this sketch could be brought to practical by use of pinewood which will be sealed with a pure silk. He knew that human beings could not spearhead this as they wert much heavy, therefore he sketched that the machine needed a robotic man which could facilitate its movement on the air.

Leonardo’s artistic work saw him sketching a driven mind. This was an uncovered wheeler toy which had three wheels and was facilitated to move forward by springs which had been coiled. This wheeler was driverless as is it lacked steering wheel but da Vinci placed that the steering could be implemented by putting blocks in a series manner inside the gears. Da Vinci also drew a mechanical mathematician. This was a very mysterious instrument that took peoples time to implement it. This was because the art was so confusing in that the people regarded that its implantation surpassed the understanding of the people who lived during that time. This machine, according to history, was not discovered again until 1965 when a professor on the field of linguistics who used to work in Spain in a national library came across two written documents which were attached together by a Moroccan leather. This document contained in it a drawing of a technological machine which had thirteen wheels which interlocked and besides this had faces which counted up to nine. Da Vinci shook the world by coming up with an incredible drawing which constituted an historical helicopter. As there were no signs of engines those days, this drawing had an alloy of aluminum which was strong as well as light. In this drawing, Vanci came up with physical law as this helicopter was to be made of linen and wooden masts and was circular and streamline. This places him the most top engineer in the world as his drawings were used by the engineer after him and even to the modern state they use this drawings to implement machinery though they make some less modifications.

In the meantime engineers consider da Vinci as a longtime ambitious man who inspires him due to the great artistic work which he left in the world. These engineers even though they have come will more advanced and technologized machines, we can primarily say that da Vinci was the prior to all these. They have applied his knowledge to make an aero plane as they have added knowledge on on the historical helicopter drawing which da Vinci had sketched long time ago. Scientists like Pennington gives consent to the opinion that these engineers achieve the best from the art of da Vinci due to his drawings which are observable and are seen up to date. He gives a reason to this by saying that every practical implementation comes from sketching and that drawing acts as the mother of any machinery.
