Jesus as the Greatest Hero: Being Gifted With Godlike DNA
A hero is a person who is admired for their courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. Jesus shown these quality’s in different bible readings. Jesus was not only a hero that did miracles to heal people, he was a hero that sacrificed his own life for us to live in peace today.
Regardless of whether you believe in the divinity of Jesus of Nazareth, there is no denying his unmatched impact on western. Jesus is the spiritual leader and hero to more than 2 billion people around the world. In our studies of heroism, we have found that the 'born hero' is a rare breed. Extraordinary situations typically bring out the heroes among us. But in every Sunday Christian service, and especially during the Christmas and Easter seasons, much of the world honours the most powerful story of the born hero in the western world. Being gifted with godlike DNA makes Jesus an especially admired hero.
‘Another theme in Johns Gospel is Jesus’ affection and care for his disciples, whom he calls friends. There is a deep intimacy between Jesus and his disciples; when he said, ‘I am the vine’, He immediately added, ‘and you are the branches’. This example shows that Jesus care and Affection for his Friends.
Our research of hero indicates that people especially honour heroes who experience pain and suffering during their heroic acts. The more hero’s suffer for their cause, the higher the pedestal on which we place them. The Romans made who died from a crucifixion would suffer horrifically. Jesus was violently whipped before he was crucified. Iron balls and sharp sheep bones were fastened near the ends of the whips. The iron balls caused deep bruising and the bones lacerated the skin. There was ample blood loss and Jesus’ level of pain would have put him a state of shock.
Heroes are known to give hope and inspiration to the people they encounter. Jesus is no different. When Jesus walked the earth, His words brought people together and transformed their lives. Today, His very words still cause people’s heart to change toward allegiance with the Kingdom of God. Jesus has an incredible ability to say the right thing that will lead people to Christianity. He knows exactly what a person is going through, so He can tailor His words to resonate with everyone. While you might not hear the words of Jesus immediately, He works in mysterious ways and whispers to you when you need it the most.
Even the strongest Heroes we read about have been scared at one point or another, weather they were afraid they were going to lose a loved one or nervous to fight someone bigger than them. Jesus has never possessed a spirit of fear. His faith in His God is so strong that it allowed Jesus to wilfully submit to the greater plan. No matter what obstacle Jesus had to face through His life, He was able to stay confident. He knew fear would only hold Him back and wasn’t a necessary weight to hold. He placed his faith in God and remained fearless. Jesus would walk through western towns telling people about god and doing miracles to the sick even though he knew it was illegal to go against the romans gods, he still did it because he knew it was the right thing and knew he had to spread the word.
To conclude, Jesus is a perfect example of a hero because he did what he believed that was the right thing to do and he treated everyone with respect. Like John said in the Reading John 15:13 No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
