The world has come together economically, socially, and culturally through the advances of technology, transportation, and communication throughout the world. Globalization has many advantages in the worlds economics as well as in technology because we can share information and tools much easier. Unfortunately with this growth in the world we become more productive and that results in higher expectancy in quality of life and goods that we expect in our lives without thinking about how they are changing our environment. The more we demand goods and the producers supply them the more raw materials we need to gather from the earth. The pollution that comes from gathering the materials is almost as bad if not worse than the destruction we are performing on the earth itself. When we use machinery or a factory that is performing work it is releasing greenhouse gasses that are changing the air quality in a negative way and causing global warming. Globalization is causing global warming in several different ways that we may not realize or think are really impacting the earth but when you consider all the perspectives you see that we are changing our climate majorly in a negative way, through greenhouse gas emission, urbanization and corporations focused on making profit. Is global warming controllable? Or is it a tragic irreversible impact that we have made and will continue to make on the earth. Sunlight enters the atmosphere and warms the earth then is radiated back into space, but when we have greenhouse gasses released by machinery and factories, they absorb the heat and keep it inside the earth's atmosphere.

When we do something to our earth that is irreversible it makes impacts that we don't always recognize right away or that we can’t see because our technology is not advanced enough at this time to calculate all the risks that we could be putting on the earth. We are polluting the earth at a major rate and don’t realize how little changes we have been making to the earth for years as humans is changing our planet and not for the better. As many don’t know “the industrial activities that our modern civilization depends upon have raised atmospheric carbon dioxide levels from 280 parts per million to 400 parts per million in the last 150 years. The panel also concluded there's a better than 95 percent probability that human-produced greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide have caused much of the observed increase in Earth's temperatures over the past 50 years”United States Global Change Research Program, "Global Climate Change Impacts in the United States," Cambridge University Press, 2009). Many people know about the effects that pollutants are making on our earth, but not enough people have the motivation to do anything about it. If more people become aware of the degrading we are inflicting on the planet and how it is going to change the way future generations will live, we might be able to make real change. The way people in most parts of the world are currently living much different than humans ever have before thanks to the area of production, distribution, and trade known as economics. The demand and supply in today's society is increasing at a rapid rait and there is not much that can be done about it because it is what people are expecting and believing is “normal” about the the technology and houses we are living in that is expected almost everywhere around the planet. When people decide they want to build a house that is larger or have more technology in their lives than necessary. There is less of a concern or they are not as educated about how they are making a footprint on the earth: “Considering that the UHII in Tokyo is about 1°C in the daytime and 3°C at night on a clear calm summer day, the summertime temperature increase over the past 80 yr in Tokyo,1. 7°C(10zyr)−1,. 1seems to be strongly influenced by urbanization” https://journals. ametsoc.

The tearing down of forests and ecosystems around the world in order to build houses or make paper is changing the environment humans are living in more than realized. Everytime someone uses power in an inconsiderate way it changes the environment around us. The people in society today need to work together to find ways that the population can urbanize without causing mass destruction to our environment. There are many large companies in the world that are focused on making money from the environment. Not many are concerned about the change their actions are making on the environment even thoughthere are many groups constantly advocating for the environment alike to the book and movie The Lorax by Dr. Seuss. In this story we see a young boy discover making money and putting it above everything else in his life and constantly ignoring all the signs that the world around him is being ruined by his actions.

Although this is a fictional story there are many cases just like this in the world today: Climate change is the most daunting problem facing humanity today, and globalization seems to be accelerating it. In fact, the effects of climate change are moving faster than predicted as free trade agreements are proliferating, multinational corporations move their operations to developing countries in order to avoid stricter environmental rules at the home country(Marcus Rolle and C. J. Polychroniou, 2016, Paragraph 2. )

When people are given rules they don’t to follow the find ways around them in order to continue making profit and advancing in their fields of work. The advances in technology and incineration taken about the environment when using this technology is increasing and there needs to be something done about it. The urbanization does not need to continue to grow the population is growing but there can be more recycling done then there currently is. The pollution we are putting on the earth needs to decrease and the companies that are highly responsible for the polluting need to become more aware of what they are really doing and that is warming the planet. Global warming is a real problem and needs more attention especially when it comes to how globalization is causing a large part of global warming.
