Women are characterized as sex objects anytime they are seeing on ad. Company owner think their product with goes faster on the market by how sexually women are portray on the logo. However, one way think that Kilbourne own point of view was exaggerated, and will even ask is she a feminist? Why does she think the media plays a big role in bringing down women’s dignity?

However this issue can be seen from different point of views. In Jean Kilbourne’s article she shad the light on how women are sexualized and degraded in modern society by being portrayed as sexual object on advertisement. She takes us on a journey on how advertisement has made people in the entertainment to be seen as objects in this case especially women. For example in “if you date won’t listen to reason, try a Velvet Hammer”. She makes us understand in this ad of vodka that women are objects to men and they can have sex with them anytime anyhow without any excuse; This is an exaggerated way of putting this. Or in “Wear it out or make it scream”. She makes us understand that a jeans ad can be seen as an attack. She adds that women are sexualized and degraded in modern society by sexually aimed advertising. And, from Kilbourne personal experience she think women should be given some respect in the society and that these ads devalue women. Furthermore, she explains how men are encouraged in some ads not to take “no” for an answer, and she believes it is the cause for many rapes cases. However, advertisements that encourage women and young girls to act in a submissive, teasing manner further promotes sexual harassment. Furthermore, Women seen on and ads can mean different things to so many people. However, the message always means something different than what the picture portrays. Picture with sexual content can harm more than it can help. These ads are destroying the society in so many ways by putting mix messages in our head. For example, in and ads on, a little boy is seeing looking up a woman’s skirts. One can only ask his or her self, what are we teaching the society? however, on young generation is the biggest victims of all atrocities being committed by ignorant rich people in the name of making money.

Nowadays, we see young men who can even express the selves to women in a friendly manner, because of what they see on images. For example “La Borsa e La Vita” supposes to be and ad of good hair, but a young man who has joint a bad gang and try to be cool might see that and the next think that comes through is mind is I got to get a gun just in case I need it. in addition, in this ads you see a man pointing a gun at a woman and she obviously look beautiful and sexy. And sometimes while looking at images like that you can only ask yourself, what are you advertising? In fact for Kilbourne, the reason violence against women increases in the society is because of the way they are misrepresented in in sexual advertisement. Nevertheless, there are a lot of ads we see of men and women who do not depict negativity and portrays love and unity. All depends on how each individual wants to support it arguments. in facts today’s belief on what a normal society is depends on what ads portrays in peoples mind. However, Publicities main purpose is not to destroy the society, some may say otherwise. Overlooking of and image can only cost more harm than good in fact can make one see beyond what is written between the lines which might be wrong sometimes. For example Kilbourne over looked at an image of a man punching the wall “Italian vogue”. Instead of describing how a man is seeing his shadow on a wall she went beyond explaining how a man aiming a gun at a nude woman wrapped in a plastic.

In sum, the article written by Kilbourne was to sensibilitise women about the danger that exist out there. Especially women getting abuse or who haven’t yet, but could. Danger exists in every part of the society. One just have to teach and educate our young ones in our own way so that they will not be victims of what the society think it is okay. By changing our ways of making ads, one can change the way the world looks at male and female relationship which will shape the society differently.
