Patience Is An Important Virtue
It was a sunny day. Brighter than usual and humidity was higher. In my university, there was a long queue of girls waiting for their turn to pay midterm fees. So I was waiting too for my turn and sadly it did not seem coming soon. Then suddenly I overheard a noise from the start of the queue. I was curious what’s going on meanwhile I was told by someone that “A Girl” was trying to pay her fee without a number and she broke down the queue and that made everyone aggrieved.
Afterwards the dispute turned into a horrible fight. Now what I was watching a well-educated girl broke the queue and other well educated girls were shouting and fighting like they didn’t know how to be well mannered and how to handle the situation decently? All that scenario made me seriously shocked! Really shocked. That incident made me think over the issues of “Patience, tolerance and Frustration”. The Girl who broke the queue had no patience. That type of people “with no patience” can be observed around you in banks, universities, hospitals, bus stops, shopping centers and so many other public places. They always seem in hurry for no reason. They don’t care about others suffering. Nevertheless we can also observe a group of people who can easily get frustrated. Like the group of a girls who started fighting offensively and shouted abusively to show their reaction. This second type of people are right but they too react overly and get frustrated easily in my opinion. On the other hand there is category of people who have zero level of tolerance for others and they always ready to start a little dispute into a fight. A rough and tumble situation can be watched everywhere at any time. “Lack of patience and High level of Frustration” can mostly experience at traffic signals. People don’t follow traffic rules because they have no patience. Every day we also happen to watch fighting and aggressive behavior on signals like we are watching live Hollywood action film. It also happens because of frustration.
Do we ever think why do we have less patience? Why do we always get angry easily? These are the questions we should ask ourselves individually that why am I alike? It’s a fact that situation never goes the way you want it to be. Things can happen in a different order than the one you have in mind. In that case you must learn to have patience. In difficult and challenging situation try to calm yourselves down and be positive. If something is annoying for you just step away until you calm down. Besides all we need to treat each other gently and show respect to others. The other reason of “why do we have No tolerance?” is we as a nation lacks organization. We are getting selfish day by day. We want immediate success with the shortest short cut. We just think about “My benefit”. We have lost “our benefit” thing. “Our or we” that stands for “UNITY” and we have lost it. That’s why we don’t think about others problems, struggle and difficulties. Human is a social animal. We have to interact each other’s every day. Therefore to live in balanced society we need to be patient and have tolerance and respect for each other. The day we start thinking about others struggle and problem we would definitely can feel change in our behavior too.
