A hero is when they are courageous and brave to do anything to save family, friends, or random people. Harriet Tubman and Martin Luther King Jr. both represent what they did to change equal rights.

Araminta Ross was born on c. 1820, in Dorchester County, MD. She changed her name to Harriet. She is the daughter of Benjamin Ross and Harriet Green (slaves). On March 10, 1913 she died from pneumonia. In Harriet childhood she was talking to a altercation overseas and she got caught so the man was trying to escape from slavery. The soldiers caught the man and threw a two pound weight lead but it hit Harriet Tubman and got violated. Harriet Tubman and other people from the Underground Railroad was trying to escape. She lead about 300 hundred people. She went by herself and found a place where they can be free. She went back and forth to get people safe while making trips to get them. “Tubman was the first African-American individual in the history of the U.S. Treasury to be selected to appear on the face of paper currency. Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. He died by getting shot while standing on the balcony of a motel in Memphis on April 4, 1968. His parents is Martin Luther King Sr. (pastor) and Alberta Williams King (former schoolteacher). King has attended so many school but at the age of 15 he was admitted to MoreHouse College to study medicine and law but he followed in his father's footsteps by joining the ministry. He graduated from the program Boston University. On Dec.1 Rosa Park became local chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People because she didn’t give up her seat to a white man that came in the bus. Kings became a target because of targeting the white supermatics. He got stabbed by a woman named Izola Ware Curry but he survived. King has worked with a number of civil rights and religious groups to organize the March On Washington for equal rights for all the jobs and freedom.. He made a speech called “I Have A Dream” which is a spiritual call for peace and equality. “On the third Monday of January, Martin Luther King Day was first celebrated in 1986. These individuals showed their courage of what they did and how they didn’t care who stopped them because they kept going to change the world. The individuals did everything in there power to help all of their people. They were compared to white people. Throughout their lives they had fought for all African Americans so they can have equal rights just like white people so they broke many laws just to help their people.

A hero is Harriet Tubman and Martin Luther King Jr. because they represent what they did as a hero to help people and others. A hero is when a person helps people and illustrate what they did to change the world. These both people display heroism because of how they changed the environment and changing how the world should be and helping people all around the world to fix the problem.
