My Big Brother: A Person Who Had Always Inspired Me
Almost everyone has a person to admire and to be inspired. There always reasons behind the admiration it might be their character or attitude that a person possesses. To me admiration is a kind of respect. But there are not lots of people in this world who have that kind of admiration from me. The person that I admire the most in my life is my biological brother. He is 38 years old, leaving me a 22-years gap in between two of us.
Most siblings are always quarreling and never get along with each other. My brother and I are not like that; we always spend our time together. The reason I admire him that much for the fact that he is not only my older brother, but he is also known as my second father. I admire him simply because of his intelligence, love, and responsibility. His constant sacrifices just to ensure our happiness and makes my world a better place to live.
My brother is an intelligent person. He knew that education would help him to succeed in life, so he determined to graduate high school and college. His hard work and smartness are always shown with his grades in his class. He preferred to read books more instead of playing games. Even though he were being bullied by others and grown up in a tough surroundings, he still determines to graduate from high school with good grades to make my mom feel proud. After he had graduated high school, he earned a fully funded scholarship from the government to go to the Universite Lumiere Lyon II in France to study. Because of his intelligence and hard work, he got to work in a big company in Cambodia nowadays. His academic success teaches me one thing that nothing can stop us if we want to learn and move forward.
His brotherly love gives me that hidden warm embrace from him. Sometimes, I do not understand about his love for me and also I take his love for granted. He always motivates me to the right direction. My brother is more than a father to me because I never experience a father’s love before. I feel very blessed to have him by side, care, and support me with the physical and emotional. He works very hard to be a head of family by taking care of my mom and me just to make our family life better. There are not many better feelings than having a brother that you can go to for anything and know that he will always have your back. It is one of the most warming experiences to have a brother that always there for you. There is not anything stronger than a brotherly love for the family and his sister. His love for me and mom shown through his action by the meaning of unconditional love.
He is a responsible person in my family. His responsibility as an elder brother never fails us, and he only makes me proud of him. He is doing his great job being my second father. He is responsible for the financial needs of our family member. He puts his best efforts to provide for the physical needs of our family, and he carries out a proper task in the family. He never put the burden on my mom and me instead he took it all to himself. He sends me to receive as much education as possible to make sure that I’m prepared for my life’s work. He even shares his experiences of life problems and teaches me how to face the problem. He has taken up that responsibility and show to me as his younger sister that even if dad's not there he will be there for me. Even he has start a family of his own he will never forget his responsibility as a brother and the head of our family.
To sum up, I admire my brother so much. Because he teaches me about real brotherly love for family, responsibility, and he know how to use his intelligence to make my mom proud of him. He takes care of me and mom before he takes care of himself. My brother works so hard for our family and to do the best for us both. When I grow up, I will take care of him the same way he takes care of me right now. Nobody will ever do this for me, and there will be no one who would do the same thing besides him. He is the greatest person in the world in my eyes.
