The standard way of thinking about Inside Out is conveyed to provide a base for discussion and thought among kids and adult alike. Riley does not get to make those choices, because the people in her head are making them for her. By focusing on Riley’s mind, people overlook the deeper problem of when looking into the parent’s minds that is not the same way as Riley’s mind. They find how the way parents handle their emotions are more advanced and systematic. Meanwhile, Riley’s minds are still young and innocent.

While Peter Docter’s point is “Inside Out may not be perfectly accurate, but the film inspires something more important than that, something that does not require scientific exactness”, it may still hold true that the movie shows how all of our emotions serve a function in our everyday lives, both the positive ones and the negative ones. Many people assume that when children watch this movie, it will help them gain a deeper understanding of their mental world and how all of their emotions play an important role.

One can easily agree that people can’t control their immediate emotional reactions, but they can control how they respond to their behavior. Because experience has shown that displaying of each emotion has its personality and drive, they learn their minds can be a complicated thing. It also shows how different people handle these emotions in different ways.

At the end of the film, Riley learns that all emotions play an important role for creating who we are, and even negative like “sadness” are crucial to being a fully functional and healthy human being. Finally, Inside Out gives parents a great opportunity to talk to their children more about their thoughts and feelings.
