Those people are having a hard time with adjusting to societal norms due to the traumatic experiences and abuses in the early days of life. While aggressiveness, negative emotions and impulsiveness is viewed as personality traits, it is discovered to be incapability to control behavior which some argue is the main cause of criminal activities. 70% of kids with conduct disorder which is a cause of an antisocial personality disorder will commit a crime when they are adults according to the study in 2006. Moreover, people with these disorders are prone to the consumption of drugs and alcohol as well as violent intimate relationships.

Surroundings of an individual’s everyday life can have a negative influence that could push towards illegal activities. Social statistics show that season, social status and drugs, alcohol consumption have a pattern and are linked to committed crimes. Some believe that the wrongdoing is developed through culture and society rather than in individual himself. People who are moving to an urban area which is chaotic from rural quiet places are vulnerable to breaking a law because of the moral uncertainty caused by isolation and role confusion. Street crimes are the highest in poor areas while suit crimes are highest in wealthy places because of the difference in settings. This is also one of the reasons to the increase in cyberbullying since offenders feel safe and anonymous in the environment of the internet, so they start to sense empowerment over the law.

Proper consequences for actions, well developed childhood of individuals and surrounding environments are crucial for law-abidingness. Thus, even if those aspects of life control the behavior of an individual in a negative way, it is possible to overcome those variables by seeking help and pursuing a better life that is beneficial and healthy for everyone.
