Cell phones have become a necessity for everyone all around the world. We always want to be connected to our friends, family, and colleagues. Cell phones have the ability to let you talk to our family that are close to us and even family that might be across the world from you too. That is one of the many reasons why cell phones are popular and essential. These advanced cell phones not only have the ability to make/receive calls but they have the ability to store data, take pictures/videos, play music/games, and you can even use it as a GPS. Cell phones have become an integral part of life because our world is revolving around communication and mobility. From the first mobile phone that came out in 1973 to the ones now in 2019, its a huge change.

If you have an emergency contact or medical ID feature in you’re cell phone it helps emergency responders find it easily without having to unlock your phone. If an accident, injury, or criminal incident happen, mobile phones make sure that emergency service and family/ friends, can be contacted right away. Cell phones for children reassure parents and enable them to know where the children are at all times. One example of this is the app called Life 360. My family uses this app to know where we are all the time. The camera on the phone can sometimes help us with crime in certain situations. If a crime happens, then phones can be used to capture evidence of crimes such as: car accidents or injuries. Cell phones nowadays can play an important role in evidence gathering. One example of this is when my dad, mom, and I were in a car accident where the person who hit us hit and run. We were very lucky to have someone see everything that happened and they went chasing the person taking pictures of the car plate. The cell phone was very useful at the time because with those pictures the police were able to find the person who left the accident.

Another way cell phones are so essential is the speed with which you can do tasks on it. These cell phones on some occasions can be even faster than using computers. The size of cell phones are like a miniature computer or tablet. If you use your phone for business, then it is even more efficient. A lot of people use their cell phone for business and it allows them to get work done and communicate with people even while they are on the move. From a business viewpoint, you can also use your smartphone to connect and collaborate with colleagues. Applications such as One Drive and Google Docs lets you create and share information with others. This helps people that are always on the move to work on their cellular device. Some phones will even allow you to access your computer from your phone without even opening your computer. This is a fantastic task that cell phones do that allows you to access documents that are in your computer that you might need to email or send to people right away. Phones can also store important data such as files, information and details. There is an app for almost anything that you can imagine. Mobile phones are an excellent way to organize your finances. You can even do online banking, you can check your account balances, transfer money, and pay bills, all in that small pocket cell phone device.

You can get all the music and movies you want but their are also a number of games that are accessible to you. Online mobile games has become very popular over the last few years. Many people don't even own a camera nowadays, because their phone has all the image and video capturing capability that they require. Once people take a picture and video it can be sent to others via email, messaging, or posted on the internet with just a few clicks. Many phones also offer extras, such as photo editing apps. Whether it's a shopping list, an important password, or a complicated set of instructions that would be difficult to memorize, mobile phones are a great way to carry notes and reminders.
