Equal Rights of LGBTQ In Every Aspect of Life Especially in Education
As of now and the as we can see that one of the major problem right here in our Country which is the Philippines is The Discrimination of the Third Sex which is the LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transexual and Queer) in which they are being bullied, discriminated, humliated and degraded by the sorroundings or in the School. In recent years lawmakers and school administrators in the Philippines have recognized that bullying of LGBTQ youth is a serious problem, and designed interventions to address it. According to Research in 2012, the Department of Education (DepEd), which oversees primary and secondary schools, enacted a Child Protection Policy designed to address bullying and discrimination in Schools, including on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity. As we noticed right now when we say LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transexual and Queer) are being discriminated in which the reason why they are not really active in the school so we need to know why sometimes they6 are not active rather they are shy when it comes to activity it is because they have low self-esteem because of their gender sometimes instead of pushing them up there’s an instances that when it comes in activity in school they are being bullied and sometimes they say that they are not capable on that kind of activity for that it might cause self-esteem so the teacher needs to be more on focused on what s/he will going to make his/her class a friendly one to make the all learners active and attentive and has always had equal treatment as an individual.
The Following year, congress passed the Anti-Bullying Law of 2013, with implementing rules and regulations that enumerate sexual orientation and gender identity as prohibited grounds for bullying and harassment. The adoption of these policies sends a strong signal that bullying and discrimination are unacceptable and should not be tolerated in educational institutions. Well, according to research students across the Philippines experiencing Bullying and discrimination because of their sexual orientation and gender identity, well i firmly believe that we are born to be equal not to be perfect so we must spread Love and Respect not hatred and also not to discriminate the third sex. Well, According to Ryan Thoreson LGBT in the Philippines are often the target of the ridicule and even the violence, a fellow in the LGBT rights program at Human Rights watch. “And in many instances, teachers and administrators are participating in this mistreatment instead of speaking out against discrimination and creating classrooms where everybody can learn.
II. Body
The main problem of this kind of situation is first is they are to be bullied by their physical appearance and also by their sexual orientation as we noticed in the School Environment we cannot say that there’s not happening bullying and discriminating because nowadays, there’s a lot of third sex who is studying in that case they need only a one word a what you called RESPECT but some people wouldn’t know how to respect them instead of bullying them why you better shut their mouth to make that students suffer bullying. The Second one is They are blackmailing when someone caught the two persons in which the same sexual preference they are to be hatred or even they are angry because of what they saw so sometimes we don’t need to be more overacting when we saw that these two people holding hands to each other but the same sexual preference just accept it not blackmailing them that you going to spread what you saw don’t take advantage for it be feared of the Law of Karma. The worst one is a Physical Violence in our Family sometimes our Father is one of the against about the gender preference of their children when he found out that his son are gay he became angry or worst he hurt his son that he didn’t think what he did then at the end of the day he felt guilty. The Worst part is sometimes of being different or a part of third sex our parents decided to kicked out their children which is under LGBTQ to their house because they caught their son dress up as a girl. And last problem is when the LGBT going to find a job they are not easily get a job because of their gender preference or sexual orientation.
The one thing that I know is to have a Seminar about Gender Preference or a sexual orientation about LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transexual and Queer) in order to know the importance or the major effect when they are bullied, discriminated, humiliated and degraded, because one of the big impact and causes when the part of LGBTQ being bullied is some are they being depressed and some are committed suicide so we need to be aware of that and care for that. As we notice Nowadays, there’s a lot of students are being bullied by their schools because of their sexual orientation so the Faculty members or the Teachers need to think a seminar which is fit for the Third sex or for The LGBTQ in order to be aware of what is the cause of that kind of situation. Bullying undermines the mental health and physical well-being of all children, and they are targeted disproportionally, and at higher rates, for harassment and public humiliation- not only form other kids, but also by the adults who should be keeping them safe. Well, with the discussion still hang in on “abstinence only” versus comprehensive approaches, the issue of them inclusion has yet to be settled across the board. In most classrooms, students aren’t being taught sexually healthy habits for when they have romantic relations with someone of the same sex. So all we need to do is to have a Seminar what sis the best thing to do for them and also to have a better understanding and relation between them and to promote equality for the school that they studying of. LGBT persons around the world experience familial and social rejection, harassment, violence, and sometimes harsh prison sentences or even the death sentence because of their sexual orientation so we need to think about of it cases and always think before we going to discriminate, humiliate, degrade and bullied a person which is part of LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transexual and Queer) because even in a simplest word that are connecting with their sexual orientation and it’s really hurt for them it can cause and affects their dignity and self perception let’s spread love and respect not to discriminate them rather feel them that they are deserve to be love and to be respect.
VI. CONCLUSION
I therefore Conclude, that when we say LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual,Transexual and Queer) doesn’t matter. Despite the strides that LGBT people have made in order to achieve equal rights, LGBTQ all over the world are often remain in alienated position in society. And I think over the years, the homosexual population has increased nationwide, which leads to increase the homophobia in Society. LGBTQ here in our country are sometimes not to be accepted because the other people beliefs that only man and a woman are able to live in this world but for me I firmly that God created us with an equal rights and dignity so, it is not okay to discriminate, humiliate and degrade them because they are only human being too deserve to live and they deserve to be respect because if RESPECT and LOVE reigned in this world it makes our Universe not just a better place but the best place to live in. Throughout History I also believe that the plight for human rights and equality has been fought for by vast amount of people. Through this day there is still an obstacle going on for LGBT rights, and also some LGBT are to be bullied by their respective schools but always remember they did not deserve to be bullied rather they deserve to be treated them equal. We need to help them in order to make them feel that they are belong we participate by their activities that is all about for equality and if you going to do that it shows that you stand for equality and equal rights and supporting everybody being their own person. A reputable organization could support to Help LGBT people would be human rights campaign. They are working for the Equality go Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, and Transgender and the Queer. They have such an encouraging activities that makes the LGBTQ not just a better individual but also the best individual here in our society. This Organization is the largest civil rights organization that is working towards the equality for LGBT people. Not only do they have a positive attitude, but will increase the amount of positive vibes going through community.
