The current study embodiments different styles of dance likewise ballet, rythmic gymnastic, oriental, tap, modern, jazz and contemporary dance. Analyses the technical skills, performative skills and the physical skills for each dance I have been experienced to and further the style I personally chosen for my future career. In addtion the essay mentions all the pros that each of the above dance styles offers me during the years and how I percieved it according to my personality and my personal skills generally.I was started Rythmic Gymnastic when I was 6 years old and I continue for just a year and then my dance backround started from the age of 8 with the Oriental dance for two years and then I stopped and other things attracted my intention. In the age of 14 I started Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Modern, Street and Contemporary dance.Ballet and Gymnastics both use flexibility, strength and balance through movement of the body. Need synchronization to perform one move subsequently the other. In gymnastics some of the most basic moves include cartwheels, forward rolls and handstands. A routine of a Gymnastic includes balancing on a beam or jumping off a springboard. In other hand in the Ballet, there are five main “positions” or dance steps. These five basic positions require precise placement of your legs and your feet. In the first position, your heels touch together. Your toes have should point outwardness and form a straight line. Otherwise basic ballet positions are called saute, plie and releve. In the ballet dancing, the arms and hands are used to increase the aesthetical expression.(Nunez, 2018)

Oriental dance is consider natural to a woman’s bone and muscle structure with movements emphasizing from the torso rather than in the legs and feet. The dance mainly focuses upon isolating a viariety parts of the body, moving them independently in sensuous patterns, weaving together the entire feminine form. This spesific dance is performed barefoot, the reason for that is because emphasizes the intimate physical bond between the dancer, her expression, and the earth.(Convergencedbc.com, 2016)

Modern and contemporary dance is requires ecxellent technical skills and addresses more issues than when it was created. It paved the way to the development of the concert dance, one type of which is the contemporary dance. It uses ballet, modern, and postmodern dance techniques while at the same time letting dancers use their artistic and creative abilities. Contemporary dance has similar techniques with the ballet and modern dance, for instance floor work, fall and recovery, improvisation in addition techniques include incorporating yoga, pilates, and martial arts together which are been introduced by Graham, Hawkins, Horton, and Cunningham. It has been found that modern dance and contemporary dance have developed to allow dancers and choreographers to increase self-expression, which allow the dancer to express feelings and its personal dynamic. Moreover to break away from dances that are required more technical skills such as ballet. Additionally, modern dance emphasizes more on emotions and feelings, on the other hand contemporary dance focuses to create new techniques and styles.Contemporary dance also creates movements which are lighter and more fluid and emphasizing the connection between the body and mind. (M., 2011)

Jazz dance is the most predominant dance style and dominates the dance industry. Furthermore, it can be seen in commercials including television, movies, music videos and musical theatre. Furthermore, Jazz dancing showcases a dancer’s skills as it demands a high quality level of technical skill, rhythm, dynamic movement and stylistic interpretation. Furthermore, rhythmical structures have been used in jazz dance and music for example rythm, pulse, accent, off beat and syncopation. On the other hand technical skills requires accuracy, balance, strength, co-ordination, core stability, posture and lasly flexibility. Moreover, performance skills includes strong expression, focus, musicality, communication and perfect timing.(Ocr.org.uk, 2015)

The absolute pleasure that comes from the physical movements in the dance is the experiential self-discovery that the body is made for motility. The pleasure we tend to derive involves the realization that this can be what we tend to are for and that we were created for this. We know ourselves during the exuberance of the movement. Furthermore to exercise the body leads to happiness and to the fulfilment of the soul.(Buckroyd, 2000)

The Cunningham Dance was our first assessment. Cunningham was attracted by the potential of random phenomena as determinants of structure. He is also inspired by the pursuit of authentic movement as devoted as possible of emotional consequences. Moreover, Cunningham was make something new the 'Choreography by chance', a technique during which chosen isolated movements are appointed sequence by such random ways as agitated a coin. Cunningham's abstractionist dances differ greatly in the mood but they are oftentimes characterized steep changes and oppositeness in the movement. (Encyclopedia Britannica, 2017)

In our lecture the teacher she was teaching us with the Cunningham’s way. She has taught us 3 different parts of choreography and she has give us random numbers fpr whom is going to do the A, B or C. I was in the group C but I had to do it in an opposite site and I found it difficult in the begining but I manage it in the end. I had a really good technique, focus/empashis and clear movements. I need considerably more strength and a more strong core for a better balance, and more dynamics in my movements.

Our second assessment was the Beamish Dance was a section of that included Viennese Waltz. The Vienesse Waltz have a definite way of dance the right waltz which that give to the dance an elegant look. As a quick waltz the Vienesse is done through in 3/4 time with 3 beats per measure. Some of the most importat terms that are employed but not needfully exclusive in the Vienesse Waltz is the attitude - bent knees, arabesque - straight leg, develope- unfolding leg in a forward movement. (Icbda.com, 2016)

The assessment has been divided in 3 sections the section one was required characterisation, clarity of movements, connect with audiences and with other dancers the second section was required expression such as happy face, projection and having fun, musicality, clarity of footwork and the section three and last one was required epxression as well and musicality, precision of steps and movement. I believe I was enjoyed it a lot and I have been on a character through the all performance, I had a really positive vibes and a good connection with the audiences and other dancers I had an accurate arm placement on my partner work waltz and effective use of costume. I need to improve and development at the timing of Waltz and technically.

On our last assessment we had to copy a dance that we choose. The reason I choose a contemporary dance to copied is because that the contemporary dance always attracted my intetion when I just watch someone to dance or if I am a part of a dance piece. The things that help me to be good in a contemporary dance piece is my flexibility, the way I can feel and express myself through the piece and some technical skills. The rythmic and Ballet both of them helps me with the flexibility and the ballet helps me more with the technical skills because of the lessons I was doing in the past. I think expression is an important element of contemporary dance and as this this style of dance helps me to express myself better when I dance and feel the music and the lyrics of a song. Things that I have to practice more is my back flexibility that is going to help me to do more things in my dance, and my control and balance especially when I’m doing pirouettes.

Every choreographed dance constits of three parts: transitions, movements and poses. “Analyzing the techniques a person must use in order to achieve or maintain balance, or to regaing balance, involve some intriguing physics.” (Laws and Sugano, 2008) Everything that I mention before is the reason why I choose this piece as I think they are my some of my stongest elements and therefore they could give me the best possible mark.

To be conclude every kind of style dance differ from each other includind techniques, physical movements and emotions. Moreover, experiencing new dance style help me to identify and explore myself into new pathways and oportunities for my future career into this huge and exciting industry. Contemporary dance is the chocen one that suits my personality according to my experience, is primarly my ability to be flexible, to extend my technical skills and gives me the oportunity to express myself and emotions. Dance backround help me to identify and find which dance style will help me extend myself and achieve my career goals, and every dancer should consider it in order to succeed in the industry.
