President Donald Trump ignored the advice of scientists and health officials across the country - not to mention his own daughter - and looked into the sun without any special glasses during Monday's eclipse. Trump, first lady Melania Trump and son Barron watched the eclipse from the balcony of the White House. Although everyone was armed with goggles, Trump glanced at the sun for a moment and asked employees to shout, 'Don't look!'

Looking at an eclipse is dangerous because the sun can make holes in your eyes, damaging the retina, as Voxs Brian Resnick explains. Eclipse glasses must be able to view the eclipse safely because they completely block visible light to 0.003 percent. And because tens of millions of Americans were to watch the solar eclipse on August 21, demand for sunglasses from the solar eclipse increased sharply.

While people were preparing for the big event, many shared their excitement - and warned not to look at the sun without eclipse glasses, including the president's daughter, Ivanka Trump. When photos began to circulate in which the president looked at the sun without glasses, mocking tweets quickly appeared, especially since Trump neglected the general management - including his own employees:

To be honest, Trump only looked directly at the sun for a few seconds, which probably won't cause any serious damage. But the image of Trump, who decides to ignore solid advice and look at the sun, an act

that could burn his retina, will probably be burned in the minds of some people.

How much damage can a person do if they look at the sun for a few seconds?

Indeed, because many children are warned, there is no 'safe' time to stare directly at the sun.

Note that no ophthalmologist recommends looking at an eclipse. Against the energy of the sun, human eyelids are like a dam made of tissue paper.

Most sun-related eye damage is gradual and accumulates over the years, leading to cataracts and macular degeneration. An acute overdose can lead to other irreversible retinal damage, dense nerve concentration in the back of the eye, after just a few seconds. Most of these solar or photonic retinopathies are temporary and appear as spots in the field of view - for example, when the camera flashes in your eyes. In the case of solar damage, visual field deficits can last weeks or even months. Trump later put on eclipse glasses. But if the president suffered severe damage to the retina, it would be an undesirable addition to the growing list of administrative failures.

What happens if you ignore the warning?

Your face doesn't melt like 'Raiders of the Lost Ark,' but your eyes can be seriously damaged. And yes, you can go blind. If you look directly at strong sunlight, the retina, the light-sensitive part of the eye, may be damaged. If you look directly at the sun, the intensity of light and the concentration of light on the retina is so high that it can boil '- said Dr Christopher Quinn, president of the American Optometric Association, 'If the exposure is large enough, it can and will lead to permanent blindness and even blindness.' The retina can transform light into an electrical impulse that the brain understands, but one thing it can't convey to the brain is pain. Even if you are excited about the eclipse and take a look at the sun before you completely hide behind the moon, it's not worth it. There is no internal trigger informing you that you have been watching the sun for too long. Every look at it is too long. Even the slightest exposure can cause blurred vision or temporary blindness. The problem is that you don't know if it's temporary.

It's really impossible for people, when they are at the moment, to evaluate a short or long exposure, 'said Quinn. It is never worth looking at an eclipse without protection.

Trump Staring Into The Sun Are Almost As Good As The Actual Thing

The solar eclipse has given Americans the opportunity to meet to experience spectacular natural power. However, experts have previously warned that due to the harmful effects of the direct beginning of the Sun, the viewer should take steps to obtain the right glasses or develop their own device with which to be able to observe the solar eclipse. The president participated in the celebration of the White House, but apparently, he did not receive a safety note, because President Donald Trump did not wear eclipse glasses at some point, and Twitter could not stop the jokes.

Let’s See this incident on another side!

You must also remember that the naughty people make great discoveries, the boys tearing things down to make great inventions. For example, If Alexander Fleming's mother were around, we could all be very sick. Like everyone who wanted to go on vacation, Alexander Fleming left a pile of dirty Petri dishes in his workplace before leaving the city. When he returned from vacation on September 3, 1928, he searched them to see if they could be recovered and found that most of them were contaminated - as might be expected from a bacterial laboratory in a hospital.

As well documented in history books and on the Nobel Prize website, Fleming threw most of the vessels into the vat with Lysol. But when he came to the staph bowl, he noticed something strange. The bowl was covered with bacterial colonies, except where the mould stain was growing. The area around the mould was free of bacteria as if mould had blocked the spread of bacteria. He realized that he could kill many bacteria - and penicillin was identified. Because of this slight scientific reluctance, we received one of the most commonly used antibiotics.

Conclusion

So, in case of trump about this incident the question which comes in mind is who hasn't looked at the sun, how will you know what will happen if no one has ever done it, the kids always listen to the parents tend to have a limited imagination.
