Character Relationships in The Help

The story shows the good relationship between the color maids and the children of the white people they are working for, and how they took care of them and loved them like their own children. Constantine and Skeeter have a really good relationship and Aibileen and Mea Mobley have a good relationship and they have secrets between them and they really care about each other even though they're from different races. There are racial and economic inequality that ruin the relationship and are like a barrier that stops and prevents these relationships. Can there be a real, and a loving relationship even though there is an unequal relationship between the children and the colored maids?

The relationship between the characters in the story and my maid is the same, the only difference is that in the past racism was present and the maids were treated unequally. Aibileen and Mea Mobley have a relationship that is loving and they really trust each other even though she has a different skin color and a different community. Their relationship is based on Aibileen doing her work, but she really loves Mea Mobley even though she is treated badly. The relationship between me and my Maid is really different even though she loves us like her own kids, the only thing we have in common is that she is very loving and she cares a lot but we don’t have a relationship like Aibileen and Mea Mobley or Skeeter and Constantine. My maid works and does everything at home she has her own space but she can use our bathrooms and she can use the same cups we use. In the book the maids were not free and they were being watched all the time.

Aibileen used to always give Mea Mobley good vibes and tries to make her confident about herself, she tells her stories and have secrets with her to keep her close and keep her secrets safe. Aibileen helps Mea Mobley with everything and tries to please her. Aibileen raised Mea Mobley and treated her like her own child even though she lost her own child. My maid tries to do everything to help me but we don’t share secrets and she doesn’t read stories for us she just came in recently so we don’t have a very good relationship. We laugh together, I buy her gifts and I also share stuff with her because she is like my mother, she is caring, loving and protective. She always asks me what I need and how can she help me even if I don’t need help she always offers help. Skeeter and Constantine have the same relationship like Aibileen and Mea Mobley. Constantine used to send massages and letters to Skeeter when she was away and took care of her even when she was out of the house. Their relationship is like a mother and a daughter that really cared for her child as if it's her only one. In the end, women who have children will always have a good heart and will care for other children as if they are their children because they have a mother's heart and they know how hard it's to lose a child or that your child gets hurt, even though their was a really big difference between them racially and economically they still loved them and had them and supported them through their rough, and tough times and their happy and fun time.

In conclusion, my relationship with my maid is different from Aibileen and Mea Mobley’s relationship and Constantine and Skeeters’s relationship. The time had changed and the people changed, the mentality that had ruined people's lives and made them hate each other had changed in a way that won’t allow people to do other people wrong anymore. I love my maid and I’m really going to miss her if she left someday and I really wish she can stay and never leave cause I love her so much.
