The Rights Of A Homosexual In America

What is the difference between you and a homosexual? Why is he/she being treated bad just because they are attracted to the same gender? I’m going to discuss the rights of a homosexual and our goal is to make it better from them in many ways. This is important today because everyone should express themselves without being bullied. Each year that goes by students commit suicide because they are getting bullied in school and the reason why they are getting bullied is that they are different. This essay will first discuss harder punishment for those who attack homosexuals. We the Democrats are committed to ending the violence, bullying, and discrimination against homosexuals. No one should be scared of coming out as a homosexual, we want them to feel safe around people which means we want them to be respected in their communities, their workplaces, and their school. We stand with the people that can’t fight on their own, we help them achieve something in life, we make them feel like they are worth something, we support them in their fight. The Democrats believe in equality. We think that if we made the punishment harder against homosexuals it would increase which is a beginning. We believe in Gay Rights and that is why we are doing this.

We are ready to strive for progress, we will do whatever it takes and the only thing that matters is that we make a difference and help the people in need. We have leaders in Congress who are willing to fight on our side and they will stand with us until the end. Everyone should be allowed to marry the person they love but there is still much work to be done to do that, it is allowed in a few countries right now but our goal is to make it legal around the world. LGBT kids continue to be bullied at school, a restaurant can refuse to serve a transgender person which is just awful and we want to prevent that from happening.

We will always fight to end discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, language, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability. We have come with an idea to promote civility and speak out against bigotry and other forms of intolerance that have entered our political discourse. It is indeed unacceptable to target, defame, or being accepted because of their religion, race or sexual orientation.

Under President Obama’s leadership, we have made a tremendous progress, we have increased the hate crimes against homosexuals. On President Obama’s first day in office, only two states guaranteed marriage equality. Today, marriage equality is the law of the land in all 50 states. We have come a long way but our work is far from complete, we have more to accomplish. Experience tells us that progress is increasing and becoming better - just as President Obama said, “step by step, law by law, mind by changing mind. ”
