Doing the right thing repays individuals in many ways that can prevent causes or situations from happening. The way society works any little mistake a person makes can cause conflict, judgement, or consequences. And the normative of a solution to all of these occurrences has involved by using the theories called, deontology and virtue ethics. These concepts cover the quality required of human characteristics and the principles of moral aspects, it allows happiness in our conscious beings.

Discussing these concepts deontology disputes the idea of a person's action being more important than the consequence occurring from the wrong decision. This matter sets moral rules and principles that can guide a descriptive field in our society today to guide individuals in making good decisions. Deontology is an ethic that has a proper motivation in helping people acquire to do what is right no matter what. It guides people to perceive what would be the right thing to do when it comes down to human communication. Society will not have to wonder if our action is a bad decision, it would all be led out for you like critiques.

Kant's form of deontology description agrees with the terminology of being obligated to act according to the principles and rules given. Kant believed our motives are in our control referred to in chapter 6 of Deontological Ethics and Immanuel Kant. Our moral actions prepare different aspects of each individual explaining that it would be morally wrong to lie or cheat on another person. Kant does not care if you end up effectively receiving a consequence from your action instead if you fully followed the rules thoroughly according to Kantian Duty Based. According to Kant “Our actions are to be reflected as one or more maximum, of how one sees themselves and their person’s policy.”- reading O'Neill- “Deontology”, chapter 4 contemporary perspectives.

The morals we consider are based on external rules that will guide and keep individuals on the ideal of the right outlook to life. The quality of these concepts regulate different approaches but aim to the same moral philosophies. The second theory, Virtue ethics simplified “Rather than asking what we ought to do, virtue ethics asks how we ought to be”- chapter 8, of Virtue Ethics. Virtue Ethics focuses on moral character. Instead of perceiving an individual by one action they make, the theory focuses on the overall because everyone can make a mistake or may just be having a bad day. How a person would carry themselves for a period, that's how virtue ethics will perceive them. You can think of it as encouraging a society to develop good characteristics. It has an aspect that focuses on good traits that make a person “good”, according to chapter 8 of virtue ethics.

The purpose of virtue ethics is to make an individual better so they can live a better life, to develop a person who will handle any situation well. When discussing the theory about Deontology, there can be many aspects from different people. I believe that deontology should only be needed when people are unstable throughout their society. Otherwise, people should be free to make their own actions and should be aware of their actions having the out come of consequences or if it being just simply wrong. Deontology has a different approach when it comes to identifying something as right or wrong, it focuses more on unconditional and absolute duties. And some people may not want to feel controlled or obligated by the theory, and might just learn from their mistakes. Some strengths that people would consider, include doing what is right regardless if it could benefit you because it’s just morally doing the right thing.

It focuses on fairness towards everyone and equality. And some weaknesses caused by deontology can be conflicts relating to the duties. Deontology would not be considered rational if the rules have no exceptions to them. It would be very strict and, and it is not unexpected for an individual to make a mistake, so can the obligations vary? Deontology varies because the positions people are put in causes them to be fair throughout their relationships. As well as having many principles can cause a majority of people to be less truthful and cause trust issues. In contrast, virtue ethics aspect is very lenient and has no requirements, it's purpose it to justify development for the greater good for every individual. I believe it aims to make individuals become better people and to practice virtue in their everyday lifestyles. Some strengths of virtue ethics include the improvement of character traits, of how individuals will treat others. Some benefits of virtue ethics include that it could be flexible. It recognizes that the journey of becoming a better person is never finished because we are always learning in life, learning through mistakes given in the article of Kantian Duty Based. It accepts every trait of an individual, whether it's good or bad its purpose is to make a change, to fix the flaws of our character.

And some weaknesses would include determining the nature if virtue stated by Flow Psychology. This theory can seem more personal, being concerned with traits and qualities that will help improve people's ways.Virtue Ethics genuinely encourages individuals, not forcefully but in the right for people to become better. For reference, the statement given by Flow Psychology stated that “These virtues prompt a person to do good things to others because these are innate in him or her, as opposed to the theory of Kant where people are forced to do good deeds out of duty.” I believe that virtue ethics has a better approach to ethics because it can help many of us improve our roles with great purpose in life, rather than being obligated and not learning from life with one’s own mistakes as well as doing what is right because we want to.

To conclude, both of these theories have the same motive of guiding and advancing people with greater These significant aspects are persuasive to analyze senses in “good”. Deontology focuses on the duties that keep people from making false mistakes in life. And virtue ethics encourages people to do what is right regardless of the outcome. These rational concepts are dramatically different and seek to find one common moral goal, to seek peace and to avoid conflict in society. But their motives vary, due to a person point of view.
