Many utilized alternative model are in recent use. In the previous 100years the model had faced a lot of changes and development and expansion, which has led to many in circulation. Now a common AIDA modern is now referred as hierarchy of effect model. Steps identified by the AIDA models is as follows:

  • Attention: the public becomes informed about specific goods or services .
  • Interest: educating the public persuade them to be interested in the goods or services after learning about their benefit.
  • Desire: the public begins to have interest towards the goods and services.
  • Action: the public purchase behavior changes and the engage in trial shop around or make purchase. A strong disadvantage of the AIDA Model and some hierarchical model is the lack of post purchase effects and satisfaction, usage, continuous purchasing behavior and some post purchase views.
