Labour Work: A Start-Up Future

Have you ever had an experience of a sweatshop? For years sweatshops, mostly garment factories and industries are being motivated by the multinational clothing companies. As this companies are very important and necessary because we all love to wear different clothes which are in trends. Till now these sweatshops were considered as a harassment or exploitation to the needy women and children, but they are the most motivational places ever for those strapped women and little ones. Working in sweatshops, they can live a practical life, gain knowledge and benefit economically.

Starting a new career, one must leave laziness and must work harder. The same thing relates here that if those strapped women and children want to live their life peacefully they must get rid of their laziness. They must start working their own, manage different things by their self-understanding. The main thing, most of those women and children are begging on the streets, so they must get rid of begging. This will encourage them to work harder and will learn to give efforts as more as possible, as they are the only who is responsible for their life. “Although all of the women admitted that they worked long hours, were subject to harassment, and were denied labor rights, they also affirmed that the job provided on opportunity greater than they could otherwise have hoped for and that it had improved the quality of their lives” (Garyfalakis, 2016). For example, if two women living in the same condition having the same plans for their future, that is to live a quality life, one woman started begging on the streets as it seems to be an easy task to get some money and other decided to work harder to live a quality life. After some time, the other woman who decided to work hard started living a quality life. This could be the example.

Knowledge is the key thing to start any sorts of work. Without knowledge about anything, one cannot start working on it. Thus, to start new work one must have to have proper and enough information or knowledge on how to manage and how to continue the job. Knowledge about the market plays a vital role in starting a new career. As they start working in sweatshops they can understand the market situations. They will get to know about the current fashion trends as they are working in the garment factory or industry. If someone working in these sweatshops wants to make her career in the same field of clothing like if she wants to be a tailor then if they have the knowledge of her work, they can deal with the challenges on their path of success and would have a good career and they also can become self-dependent in the society “in a highly patriarchal society of Bangladesh, sweatshops are helping to change attitude toward women” (Garyfalakis, 2016). For an instance, in a city named Surat in India is the biggest textile industry in India, almost all the local garment companies are making garment without the use of the technology, so this type of women are working and earning money and after having some experience working there they start their own tailor shop for their and their family’s betterment, this may be the proper example.

After all, everyone’s working to survive, money is the most essential thing to survive because as we know that nothing is possible without money in today’s world. Money is needed even to get food and water, so money is a necessary thing to survive. These women can get some money to feed their stomach and have a shelter to protect themselves and their children from summer winter and rain. They will get to know how the money is being rotated around the world. They will also get to know about the importance of money. In any Asian country like India, Pakistan or Bangladesh if we ask the normal couple about their expenses the husband would always say that his wife spends at least half of the husband’s salary in new clothes, jewelry and many other pieces of stuff, this could be the better example. Their earning would help them to improve their economic conditions and can overcome out of their poverty “an escalator out of poverty” (Blattman and Dercon, 2017).

In a nutshell, the sweatshops are the place where the strapped women and children can get an opportunity to make their life qualitative by living their life with lots of hard work and motivation, can absorb proper and quantity of information of the different marketplaces as well as their work and as they are working for money they can learn different ways to survive and makes themselves eligible to work and earn money for themselves and for their children and their family. If someone wants to start their new career or to resume their studies, then the money earned, and the knowledge gained by working in those sweatshops may help them to start their new career or to resume their studies and make their future bright.
