There are a large number of processes in life that entail a danger to the physical integrity of people. These processes, frequently used in industrial operations, play a very important role in the development of useful activities for the life of man. Fire meant a very important advance in the progress of primitive humanity, but it has a disadvantage derived from its own usefulness: it cannot be touched without danger of burns.

Electricity meets, along with the risk of electrocution for those who come in contact with a material in tension, the drawback that such tension cannot be seen at a glance. It is known that, today, most industrial processes use heat energy, electricity and moving parts, completing the remaining small part with chemical and nuclear processes. The proportion in which these agents participate in the industrial development has varied according to the time and will continue to vary as time goes on, but all of them have a common denominator, characterized by the risk to which the people who have to manage them are exposed or who They are in their vicinity. This necessitates a systematic control of them, in order to convert them, from the free forces of nature, into instruments of service for the needs of man. This control cannot always be complete, due to the difficulty of doing it or because of the human carelessness that inevitably has to occur, so it is absolutely necessary to establish a barrier in order to avoid injuries that the contact between them can produce. These barriers between the danger and its possible victims are the protective devices.

Machines and Tools

The machines and tools used in the establishments must be safe and, in case of risks, they cannot be used without adequate protection. The engines that originate risks will be isolated, prohibiting the access of personnel outside their service. When they are connected by mechanical transmissions to other machines and tools located in different locations, the starting and stopping of the same will be carried out with prior notice or agreed signal. Likewise, remote switches must be provided, so that in case of emergency the engine can be stopped from a safe place. Kobelco Excavator Spare Parts offers best quality in reasonable price.
