Comparison of the Hierarchy in the Feudalistic Society and Indian Caste System
There is a hierarchy in every civilization that the people agree on. In the feudal and caste system there is an upper, middle, and a lower class.
The upper class are the ones who are wealthy, the working people belong in the middle class, and the ones who are in the lower class are the ones who are poor. Feudalism is an arrangement of land possession and obligations. It was utilized in the Middle Ages. All the land in a kingdom belonged to the king. Notwithstanding, the ruler would give a portion of the land to the rulers or nobles who battled for him. The serfs and laborers were on the base. They had no land despite the fact that they worked for the rulers. In a caste system, one’s class is hereditary and cannot be changed like in other societies.
The caste system in India shows up in the most antiquated establishing writings of Hinduism, including Vedas, which delineate the division of Indian culture where individuals are conceived and stay unequal. At the highest point of this hierachy, there is the Brahmanes (ministers), trailed by Kshatrias (warriors), Vaishas (merchants), lastly, at the base of the social ladder, Sudra (the remaining of the people, except the Untouchables).
Untouchables are prohibited from the caste system. The Caste structure relied upon the religion of Hinduism, while in the Feudal framework the Roman Catholic Church and in it's convictions were pursued. In the Feudal system, the King was in the highest class but in the Caste system, it was the Brahmins (Priests).
The Feudal framework existed amid the medieval times and when it finished it caused the ending of the medieval times. In India today, the Caste system is still being pursued. Oppression definitely still exists due to the fact that not everyone has the same mindset/beliefs. One of the oppressions that society faces today is race. It began with our ancestors and has kept on ever since. Some believe that the color of their skin makes them better than others.
Another form of oppression is religion. Not everyone believes in the same God and there are people who think that if you don’t believe in what they believe in then your religion is lesser. individuals like to condemn things that they don't get it. When we see or find out about individuals with mental incapacities we naturally feel that they're psychotics and should be put in a institution.
Although some may need to be in one, not all individuals with psychological maladjustments are the same. Individuals rush to make remarks about individuals with depression, yet don't comprehend what they're experiencing.
