The activist in the 60’s and 70’s would give their speeches and would want others to listen. There were some activists that would tell people to let themselves get beat such as Martin Luther King Jr. for example. There were also activists that would tell people to fight backsuch as Malcom X. Most of the disscrimination during that time was towards people of different races. There would be many innocent people that would be killed just because of their different skin color.

The activists now will use the Internet such as blogs or social media like Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook to spread their word to other people. The most common things that are done are protests and marches. What activist don’t think about think about how none of this is working. Besides those things they would ask people what they think is wrong with being a different race. If everyone is a human being, what is it that certain people think makes others so different.

During the 60’s there was a parade called “Big Colored Parade”. This parade was because people wanted to racial equilty. An activist named Maya Wiley post on her Twitter to get the attention of others. She posted, “Now more than ever: 'It may be true that the law cannot change the heart, but it can restrain the heartless' - Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr”. She was also the person to open the Center of Social Inclusion.

There are protests and marches to raise awareness and to get attention for different causes. Those marches and protest aren’t doing much because nothing much is being changed. The tends to be stereotypes for different races and that there are races that like and do different things. There’s people that base other people off being the same race as some else that comided a crime just because of their skin color. There shouldn’t be any reason to hate a person that hasn’t done anything wrong.
