Apple Vs. Android: The Controversy And Never-ending Series Of Risks

The controversy surrounding Apple and Android is a never ending series of trial and risk, trying to determine what will be the most used product of the future. In today's world almost everyone is equipped with some form of technology or some form of communications. Apple was founded April 1, 1976, in Cupertino California by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, with the intent to change the way people viewed computers. Android was founded years later on September 23, 2003 by Andy Rubin, Rich Miner, and Nick Sears in Palo Alto California. Android was created initially for digital camera usage but was later compared to cell phones and decided to make a switch, giving Apple some new competition. Apple and Android both have up to date app stores that sell the same products that provide any user with the same experience. However Android is much more elite at organizing its apps and allowing the customer more space on the device by placing many unwanted apps in the apps drawer, while Apple still displays them directly on screen. One of the biggest comparisons between the Iphone and Android is the camera. The Iphone produces a photo with a much higher quality than many of the average Androids, the Iphone also has a bigger lens that is slowly changing as the company creates a new device. Iphones change each time a new one is created, this is the reason many people with older Iphones are experiencing so many problems.

The company releases updates not only for the apps but for the phone itself along general software, but many people with older phones are left out and don't receive any of these new software updates. This is because the phone is getting slower and losing its ability to keep up with new intended information that might be presented on a newer device. In December 2018 Apple admitted its much used IOS software slows down its performance of many older phones as new Iphones are created. The lithium battery that is located inside the Iphone acts as its heart and allows it to generate power throughout the device. This battery over time begins to age, as a result of too much usage or stress leaving the Iphone to not hold a charge as well or even unexpectedly shut down. After receiving negative feedback from upset customers in regards to the aging batteries, Apple released an update that allows its customers to keep track of their battery usage along with monitoring the devices battery health. Many Android users are left wondering when might their phone get an update. Google's update system for the Android is sometimes broken, leaving its customers waiting for months just to get the latest app or software updates. The company believes the problem is that they dont just add new features on every update but they try and refine the way the operating system looks. Many of Androids updates carry critical fixes for the software along with major security tools. However many of the new apps provided by the updates require a recent version of the phone, leaving old Android users with older versions of their apps and without the latest software on their device.

Both Apple and Android have good qualities along with bad qualities which separates them from each other. If all phones were the same it would be no competition between companies, resulting in fewer updates and lack of new or modern technology.
