An Individual's Thoughts on Self-Discovery

The question is who am I? How do you answer that question when really you don’t know who you are yet? All I know is that I’m Andrea Spencer, a 20 year old adult just trying to figure herself out. Each day I get to figure out a different characteristics about myself that makes me who I am. Three of the main characteristics I have learned about myself is my willingness to learn, also my passion for life, and finally learning what my interests are.

I have always had a willingness to learnabout new objects. As I went through high school, I have always wanted to learn everything life had to offer. I always said that I didn’t just want to be able to saythat “Igraduated college”, I wanted to be able to say “Igraduated college and achieve all my accomplishments. My goals and accomplishments have pushed my willingness to learn everything I could to achieve that goal. I am certainly attended Spartanburg Community College majoring in Management. In the future I would like to become the CEO of a company. I would like to learn every new opportunity in college for that job. My wish is that the business is very profitable, and I am able to give it to my children one day.

Second, is my passion for life itself. I have always wanted to enjoy the life I have and the people in it. I always try to make the best out of any situation in life. I try to see the beauty in what life has to offer. I try to never take life for granted, and enjoy every day that I have left. I also have a big passion for animals especially dog’s. My dogs are like my baby’s I tell people. I have a four year old Cocker Spaniel named Spencer and a 7 months old English Bulldog named Luke. They bring so much joy, excitement, and new adventures to my life every day.I have been through hardship in life but I don’t let it bring my passion down. I always try to keep a smile on my face and just remember everything I have going right in my life.

Finally, I learned what my interests are. I have learned that I am a movie and television junkie. I could probably could sit and watch television for hours and hours if life would let me. Some of my favorite genres for movies are Action, Thriller, Romantic type movies. I also enjoy a good Disney movie like Frozen or Finding Nemo. My all-time favorite television show is Pretty Little Liars. Baking pastries has been a huge interest of mine. It’s something I and my mom enjoy doing together which makes it even more special to me. I like to bake anytime of cakes or cupcakes, or little different types of cookies. Something I like to do is find homemade recipes online and then make that. Swimming has also been a big interests of mine. Swimming is like a relaxing activate to do when I am stressed about anything.

I have just begun to realize who I am. I am someone who wants to learn all that life has to offer, enjoy every day to the fullest, and have passion and interests in life. I am starting to understand that I am unique in my own way. There is no other way to put it; I am Andrea Spencer.
