4ps stands for four important marketing mix which make up marketing decisions and strategies related to product. It is named as 4P because all the mix starts with letter P. These four Ps are product, price, place and promotion.
Product mix
Nescafe is a beverage product which has core feature which provides energy and make us feel refresh. It has augmented features which makes it different from other coffees including its great taste, aroma and strong texture and taste.
Price
Nescafe coffee is very affordable as it offers coffee to almost every income group but it is more focused to middle income and middle social status groups so that they will not move to any other coffee such as Starbucks and bru.
Place
It involves decisions related to distribution. Nescafe supplies its coffee to consumers through different retailers so that consumers can get at right place at right time.
Promotion
Nescafe prefers advertising to promote its coffee. Moreover, advertisements are shown in the morning times when chances of consumption of coffee are more.
SWOT Analysis Of Nescafé
S (Strength) –Its strength is its up kept quality. It has strong brand name. It is available in more than 10 varieties. Nescafe is a good quality product and has managed to stay from controversies.
W (Weakness) – t has no competency to expand its market and operations to new markets. People who are conscious about their health do not prefer to have coffee because it contains caffeine.
O (Opportunity) – To maximize its profit and increase its market share, by selling Nescafe’s products in the store, also adding some food or new flavor of coffee for consumers.
T (Threat) – It is facing threats from other coffee companies like Starbucks, bru, and many others.
Economic factors in today’s market scenario is affecting Nescafe, as consumer purchase power and interest/ liking in other similar products and the buying behavior keeps changing.
Technological factors, competitors of Nescafe become advanced by using advanced technology. Nescafe should prefer new technology to promote its coffee. No doubt, Nescafe has good relation with the customers as it always take care of its customer’s especially middle class ones, but it is not everything. The competitors of Nescafe are in state of selling new hot and cold beverages.
Politically, Nestle have been able to overcome the scandals, with its strong network and also with much of its good brand image which it has created due to Nescafe.
While Legally, Nescafe along with parent brand Nestle is now under strict scan after recent and scandals in the past, by the Food Development Authorities and Nodal Agencies, with strict Quality checks and Inspections, regulated different country to country.
