The Exterior Beauty Is Superior To Inner Beauty

The word ‘beauty’ looks just like a simple word, but it has a complex meaning; people give it a lot of definitions based on their own prejudice. This word is a magic world of characteristics which make each person unique; attributes that make us special beings. Beauty cannot be based just on someone’s appearance but in other areas as well such values, character, simplicity, among others that are taken as synonym of pulchritude. Although everyone has a different opinion about what beauty is, it can be said that the universal meaning is that each characteristic that an individual possesses and considers as an outstanding attribute of himself is beauty; that is why, beauty is a combination of qualities, such as shape, color, personality, etc., that pleases the aesthetic senses, generally the sight.

Many people commonly relate beauty with someone’s appearance. Some people define this term as the way you dress, if you are clean or not or even if you smell good or bad. The problem is that some people inadvertently become obsessed with physical appearance; this occur generally in women. Currently, exterior beauty is becoming synonymous with success; for example, famous people try to present themselves to others as gracefully as possible, and that is why our society mismanage the concept of beauty. Exterior beauty has been established almost by obligation because the way you look gives you a place in society. Finally, there is the beauty that is not recognized, and it is the inner beauty which is the way of being and education of people.

Others define beauty as the intelligence or audacity that an individual has; this is a sample that there are many concepts about beauty. Some people give greater importance to the inner beauty than to exterior beauty. There are people who say that exterior beauty is only the cover of a book, and that the interior of a person is the real beauty since it remains until the end of the days. Physical beauty is very important for human sight; however, people’s essence is inside of themselves. It is said that the knowledge and moral of the individual creates a very particular concept of beauty, and this is due to the accumulation of different ideas about it. We can add that beauty shown through personality can be a characteristic that describes how beautiful a person is. Kindness is one example of beauty; beside, love and empathy are some of the most important aspects of beauty. In a nutshell, inner beauty can be as captivating as external one.

“Beauty” is located in the human brain, for only human beings can perceive that something is beautiful. Actually, there is nothing cute, pretty or lovely in the entire world; however, individuals have the capacity of describing things or other people in order to give an explanation of how this being is represented by the human´s brain. This capacity is called perception, which means that individuals can perceive harmony between nature, pleasure and satisfaction. When harmony is perceived by individuals, his or her brain produces a sensation of obsession. That is why, not everybody has the same concept of “beauty” because not everybody thinks that a rose or a tulip is beautiful even though they are pretty for others. In short, people can only observe what it seems to be pretty though there is no beauty at all.

Through all the explanation of what beauty is, we realize that there are several meanings for that word. Beauty is in everything that we see because everybody has different opinions about things; therefore, it is a mental state because if a person says ´´I am beauty´´ though it is not true, he or she will not care about others reactions or opinions about what he or she has said. However, there are people who are beautiful on the outside, but not internally. that is to say, beauty is sometimes considered only as a matter of sight and not of the perception of the mind and heart that analyzes the inner being. In short, beauty is a word whose concept varies according to the wearer of it.
