Totalitarian tyranny can hide their agendas, and many still use it from an egocentric standpoint, and shared several characteristics, e.g., no empathy, grandiosity, lying and deceit, indifference to current laws or rules or morality, and more. Many leads found it difficult to empathize and understand the world from another person's viewpoint. Thus, turning to the darker side of unhealthy narcissism, combine the mindsets of Tyrants, 'Malignant Narcissism and Absolute Power,' In her analysis,(2002) Glad, include figures like Castro, Hitler, Saddam Hussein, Mohamad Khadafi, Kim Il Sung, and Vladimir Zhirinovsky. Followed by demand for absolute power, loyalty, and attention, either by military discipline (p.7) and religious devotion, lacking empathy toward others and will do anything to keep this power going, putting people down, being rude, criticizing them, and being sarcastic, even justify violence. It is often said that leaders like these are megalomaniacal power-hungry, confrontational, vengeful, messianic, grandiose, crazy, etc., or only everyday evil calculators.

Glad shares, Plato's viewpoint on tyranny, Plato was one of the first and most influential thinkers to address tyranny. He argued in the Republic, written around 380 BCE, that democratic states are destined to collapse into tyranny. He believed that democratic forms of government create a sensual and undisciplined populace who is easy prey for smooth-talking politicians skilled in the art of pandering to their desires.

As far, as as the evidence goes people in powerful positions are more likely to stereotype the powerless (and it is very sketchy), we may end that tyranny grew out of oligarchy when the ranks of the oligarchs split, and one faction leader among the oligarchs used force to seize power; and that sometimes he enlisted the help of a part of the ordinary people.
