Personal Experience of Watching the Series “Game of Thrones”

Before I started watching the series “Game of Thrones” I honestly felt lazy and I was like it’s too long but after constantly hearing about it, I was like let me give it a try, And once I started I couldn’t stop. After watching Game of Thrones, I learned that series with a lot of seasons is probably a good one and worth watching.

Jon Snow, Robb Stark, Eddard Stark, Bran Stark, Daenerys Targaryen are significant characters in the book and series 'Game of Thrones.' Jon Snow is Eddard Stark’s bastard. He is raised by Eddard and his wife Catelyn Tully with his siblings and Theon Greyjoy at Winterfell. His surname is Snow since he lives in the North and does not know who his real parents are because it has been kept a secret by his 'father.' Jon Snow's Actual parents are Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen.

Lyanna died after giving birth to Jon, and Rhaegar was murdered by Robert Baratheon in The Battle of The Trident. His real name is Aegon Targaryen. Jon doesn’t want to be called “bastard*, and he ends up joining the Night's watch. In case he works hard he will be able to change his surname to “Stark” instead of “Snow”. Jon carries out his responsibility incredibly well and is picked as a master commander. Robb Stark was Eddard’s eldest son and was the legitimate heir to Winterfell. After the execution of his dad by King Joffrey Baratheon, he was named King of the North and wanted to avenge father’s death and bring back his two little sisters Sansa and Arya who were held prisoners by the Lannisters, however, he was betrayed and murdered by Walder Frey in an Arranged marriage, The wedding was called 'Red Wedding.' Lord Eddard Stark was the head of House Stark, King of the North, Lord of Winterfell, and the King's hand to King Robert Baratheon. He was also called Ned Stark. He was a man of respect, devotion, and spouse to Catelyn Tully and the parent of Robb, Sansa, Arya, Bran, and uncle to Jon Snow which he brought up as his bastard child. King Eddard Stark had three siblings and their names are Benjamin Stark, Brandon Stark, and Lyanna Stark. Eddard Stark was executed by the 'child' of King Robert Baratheon.

He found that Cersei Lannister and her twin sibling Jaime Lannister were the actual parents of King Joffrey. He told Cersei that he would tell Robert the truth when he comes back from his hunt, and Cersei requested her cousin Lancel Lannister to give Robert an excess of wine amid his hunt, so he would get sick. In Robert's deathbed, Eddard didn’t uncover the truth to Robert, but instead to his two younger siblings Stannis and Renly Baratheon. This made them claim the Iron Throne. Cersei and Joffrey assumed control over the position of royalty, and Eddard requested a capture of Cersei and her children. Eddard was betrayed by his men who were bribed by Cersei. Eddard was arrest for treachery and later executed in front of his two daughters Sansa and Arya.

Brandon Stark is the child of Eddard Stark and Catelyn Tully, is a good wall climber. King Robert Baratheon visited Winterfell to ask for Sansa’s hand to wedding their 'child' Joffrey Baratheon. Bran decided to climb the castle, while climbing he heard noises coming from the window. He peeked and saw Cersei Lannister having sexual intercourse with her twin Jaime Lannister. Although Brandon promised that he won’t tell anyone, Jamie couldn’t risk it so he pushed Bran from the window. Although Bran didn’t die, his legs were paralyzed. After this occurrence, Bran pursued a Three-Eyed Raven. By doing this Bran got supernatural forces where he could see the future, the present, the past, and control creatures. He utilized his capacities to help his family in the war against the Night Walkers. Ruler Daenerys Targaryen, the mother of mythical beasts, the breaker of chains, is the main girl of Aerys and Rhaella Targaryen. Rhaella is Aerys' sister.

Daenerys is the youngest among her siblings Rhaegar and Viserys. She was forced into marriage by her sibling Viserys to the Dothraki for an army because he wanted to capture the Iron Throne after his sibling Rhaegar had lost and killed battling for the Iron Throne to the Baratheons. Daenerys got three dragon eggs as a blessing from the Khal (lord) of the Dothraki. Her mythical dragon eggs hatched after she put them in the fire. At the point when people saw the dragons, they became scared of her. After her husband Khal Drogo passed away, she turned into the Khaleesi (ruler). She named her dragons Drogon, Viserion, and Rhaegal which are named after her two siblings and her dead spouse. Daenerys wishes for harmony among the kingdoms and battles towns with her dragons and army to free the slaves from their owners. Daenerys travels across Westeros the spreading peace, help the poor, and free the slaves. But her main goal was to take the Iron Throne, which is been taken from her father, The Mad King, or King Aerys II Targaryen, commonly called 'the Mad King', was the sixteenth and last member of House Targaryen to rule from the Iron Throne. He was officially called “Aerys of the House Targaryen, the Second of His Name”, King of The Andals and “The First Men”, “Lord of The Seven Kingdoms” and “Protector of the Realm”. In spite of the fact that his rule has started mercifully, he surrendered to the franticness brought about by his incestuous ancestry and was eventually deposed by Lord Robert Baratheon in a civil war. Aerys was murdered by Ser Jaime Lannister, that's how he got his nickname “Kingslayer”.

This series was very entertaining and had a lot of plot twists, it showed how people for different classes treat one another, and it showed how families can turn against one another for power and wealth. Even though the series has mythical creatures somehow it seemed realistic, I really loved and related with Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) because he was brave, responsible, and worked very hard to achieve what he wanted. I really want to be like him and I’m trying my best to work hard to be like him.

Jon goes through a lot in his life not knowing his mother and living with pain in his child life connects to me somehow, although I do know my mother I haven’t spent time with her since I lost her due to cancer when I was at the age of six, my dad was always there when I needed him.

This series showed me that life goes on no matter what happens and whenever you go down you have to get up because what’s waiting for you is worth getting up for, For example when you lose your first ever boxing fight, don’t give up and stop training. But instead, use it as motivation, get up, train hard, and you will end up winning all the fights.
