Nation Building: Issues to Solve the Problem

To strengthen the confidence of Nigerian Citizen for Nation Building concerning economic success and improved quality of life, we have to tackle the issue of creating jobs for the massive unemployed people across the country. We need to understand that Jobs are usually created every time we are solving a problem and every time we exchange of Good and services, jobs are created.

It's like every time we are looking for a house, and we can’t find one, some people are supposed to be employed to build houses to the point where it becomes Affordable. We need to look at the number of houses to be built, the number of roads to be built, the number of values to be created, the number of products to be made, when all these space of jobs are occupied then we would be able to see that Nigeria has the capacity to be able to fully employ its citizen for Nation Building.

People need to understand that our population is not a problem. The problem we have is that we don't even have enough people to be able to build confidence in the Citizen of the Country and when we look at where we are in the midst of Africa and the world, Nigeria can actually become the logistics and production capital of the world because anything you produce in Nigeria will get to foreign Countries like Ireland in half the time that it will take for you to get it from Shanghai to Ireland.

Nigeria has the Capability of being the production factory for African nations and the world in Large, we just need to know what the problem is and what we have to do about it. It starts with when we ensure our government works, and they are credible with the treasury of the Country to make people get jobs, create a medium for business Opportunity and if we don’t have one, things will not work for everyone.

Nevertheless, our government is working on security issues and a few other things, businesses are the most important things for us to build our country gross Domestic Product. Nigerian Citizens want to see their businesses do well, and they can get jobs in which they are not underemployed. 

To enhance confidence in Nigeria Citizens, there are four things we have to do to build our Nation. The first is that we must cut down the cost of running governance because much of the money that is required to generate, mobilize and drive the productive engine of Nigeria is being wasted on conspicuous waste like governors and ministers travelling with several vehicles of the same class as if one has about broken down.

Apart from that, we also see that there is lavishness in the way things are being done, for example, is the acquisition of the continuous borrowing of money in Nigeria. This is an ineffective way of getting the fund because it is challenging for any nation that bargain a hundred units of Money at higher than the cost of returning the money to Develop, and what drives this is corruption. We need to make sure that we reduce wastage through good governance. The second thing is we need to regulate our government approach to become a union of people serving to get the benefit of improving the quality of life in their Environmental delivery toward the Citizen and this can be driven by seeing the people as their customers and not a platform to become richer.

The third thing is that we need to restructure our industrial infrastructure by turning our local government into productive countries where they become a special economic zone and what we need to do is get each of everyone our local governments to become an industrial focus so that the Fund as resulting in Natural Resources, farmland and mineral resources within those communities are distributed within each local government. All Government need to do is make the local government the target of Production and then the local government can package and process revenue for international markets because whatever is not good enough for the rest of the world, it should not good enough for any citizen of Nigeria.

So even if it's for local consumption, let's get it to export quality, so that every Nigerians would understand that they are contributing to the Economic Success of the country and as we begin to do this, and we every single farmland begins to get attention because the local government is getting attention and the opportunity to develop. This will make every single minefield that has been created will get mined whether its minerals of metal or gemstones and that itself will create job opportunities because there's going to be huge investment going into every local government so that we are no longer depend on oil and import-dependent.

If we do this, we will be generating revenue through investment and job opportunities in every local government, and we need to understand that only the thing that has been stopping this so far is the case that the amount of revenue that comes through the state is very huge. It is time to empower our local community so that we can reduce mental degradation and stop nothing from coming back to make the community. When local communities are developed, it will allow the citizens to willingly allow any government to come and touch their resources because something comes back to them especially in the mineral resource environment.

I implore our leaders in Government to work with the legislature to make sure that we can restructure our Constitution to ensure that good percentage of whatever it is that comes out of any revenue from a particular community goes back to that community. We can distribute the revenue by making a part of 30% goes to the local government 30% goes to the state and the federal government works with about 40 per cent which is a catalyst that is going to cause every community to ultimately just begin to develop.

To Ensure the continuous confidence of Nigeria Citizens, We need to build a structure where we have a group of people who are people of integrity, people who can make sure that when Nigeria say they are going to do something, they get it done because we need these structure to drive an infrastructure development fund in each of those areas so the revenue help to build roads, schools, hospitals, and make sure power gets to the communities. 

This structure has to exist in the community and in the local government which will make every community begins to say they have resources that need infrastructure development. This will make the labour force in each local community to reduce the tension of thinking that you have to go to the city to be able to get a job. If we implement this we are going to release what has been kept for so long for the benefit of the people and now there will be an economic, investment and job opportunity.

The fourth and the most important one is we have to reorient Nigeria citizens on the value system that seems like we have lost over the years. Those values that show how to make a positive impact on everyone that we meet and everywhere we go, the value of being committed to be a solution provider and not a part of the problem to be solved, the value that demands being a good example worthy of emulation, the value of preparing to do the right thing at all times regardless of who's doing the wrong thing. 

The value of desiring to care and show respect to everyone through our words and our actions, and finally, the value of keeping to time and make the best use of it. When all of these values are implemented, it will enable the Nigeria economy to save money and invest in agriculture, security, power, infrastructure, and empowering our people through education. All these sectors will create huge job creation opportunities to boost economic success and improved quality of life for Nigerians.
