My Dog is My Stress Reliever and My Partner in Crime
During everyone’s lifetime span there’s always someone who keeps me company and is always by my side no matter what. Some people have a significant other, favorite parent, or best friend. But there’s some that have an animal’s companion. For me that’s the case. In my life my company is no other than my dog, Halo. Also, my dog is my stress reliever. I want ot begin this essay with a phrase: “a dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself” stated by Josh Billings. It's true that no one in the world can't bring me so much happiness and relief as my Halo. He brings me unforgettable moments, responsibility, and emotions.
June Summer of 2015 couldn’t have gone any preferable with the arrival of my innocent, and frighten puppy. When his little ears and body reflected unto the wall, it took my breath away, as some say. Halo was innocent, little and had his ears hanged on the side of his precious furry face. It was one of the greatest moments of my life. That will leave a mark forever. As Halo was growing up he taught me many things. My favorite memory was taking him to the Pensacola, FL dog beach. Where he expressed his love of running and gazing at the other dogs. My life is filled with astonishing moments and this one was one.
Having a dog is like having a child, my parents would say. My siblings and I did not believe it. Ownership means more than just loving my dog unconditionally. With just a glimpse at my dog I knew that it would take patients and responsibility. He will haul my brother and I to the streets, It was salutary sunny and his heavy breathing caught our attention. It was hot and humid outside, and he is a husky. So I learned to bathe him, it was a struggle. He splashed water with his small and tiny paw, and I learned that that was the key to crying for help. Nevertheless, he taught me patience and kindness.
You have to live like there is no tomorrow, a saying that mostly everyone says. There times where I picture myself lonely in a cold dark room, lonely or just in a sad mood. Halo barges into my room, and cheers me up with just a lick my face, His warmness touches my heart, and brings me into a high spirit. Halo may not talk or may not show careness, but knowing my emotions and the way I am alerts him to when I am not being myself.
Overall, my dog does not only give me happiness and stress relief, but championship. I know I can count on him. He warms my heart and makes me feel like the only person in the world to him. His lifetime is to make me happy, and my family as well. That is why I appreciate him in every kind of way. I am glad to call him not just my dog, but my partner in crime.
