Insight of Human Communication in Juno Analysis

Juno find Bleeker to tell him about his pregnancy that cause after a sexual event on an armchair because of boredom. She goes find him because she felt Bleeker as the father of the baby should know it and do something because this tragedy occurs because negligence by both of them and she not really want her parents know that she already has sex life in the age of 16 but eventually Bleeker doesn’t fell any responsibility to do anything or say anything to Juno. So, in the result Juno leave away “chill” without getting any help by Bleeker even though a warm console.

Juno was getting angry and jealous when his best friend Leah tell she that Bleeker will going to a prom with his romantic rival, Katrina. Jealousy prompt Juno to ask about it with Bleeker because she expect that Bleeker are not the people like her best friend say and will never ever have any interact with Katrina, so she went to Bleeker to ask so that she can change what his friend say and try to get answer she want but exactly no. In addition, Juno feel unfair because Bleeker can live free but she just a pregnant girl who wear ugly shirt, people make fun behind her and look at her differently. So, she has talked all her feel out with Bleeker as he is father of the baby and Juno is the mother of the baby. Lastly, Juno actually hope that Bleeker will understand her feeling when see her beloved men good with other girl and hope Bleeker stop do it after she tell him all his idea.

Juno

Juno is a 16 years old’s high school girl who fed up with sex and feel nausea with cock. But, she has given her first time to her best friend, Bleeker and accidently get pregnant and with worse both of them are not ready to be a parent. Even though she plans to abortion initially, but sympathy heart make she can’t do it after her classmate reminded with an anti-abortion slogan outside the clinic and tell she her baby already have fingernails. So, Juno determined to give the baby born and tell her father and stepmother even though she knows her parent may not support and scold she. But, unexpected Juno’s parent agrees with her suggest which is deciding to get the baby born and give the baby to another parent adopt. Juno was a girl who surface look very chill, strong, can do her own decision and don’t care how people look her even though she was sporting a baby bump that should be no in the age of 16. But, actually she actually is a fragile girl who feel stress with all the comment given by people around and all the different vision people give to her. In addition, at last Juno’s helplessness and dispirited finally exposed when she found out actually the adopt parents Mark and Venessa are no a happy and perfect family as she thinks and at the same time she has conflict with her “boyfriend” Bleeker because he invited Katrina go prom with him.

Juno’s Stepmother – Bren

Bren is Juno’s stepmother who has been already marry to Juno’s father for 10 years and have a daughter. She is a mother that are kind, rational, warm-hearted and full of maternal love. This can show when Juno tell she that she gets pregnant she didn’t scold or getting crazy but keep clam and ask Juno what she plans and follow her opinion to get the baby born and put up to another parent adopt. In addition, when Juno in pregnancy she treats Juno as well as she can such as don’t let Juno stand close to the oven and then do every small and simple thing for Juno such as modification her pants so that it is comfortable to her big baby bump. Besides, she also prepared nutritious food that need to absorb by Juno as a pregnant girl. She also patient talk to Juno when Juno is anxious to born because the spinal block that make Juno cannot give birth and fall in intolerable pain. But, behind all this kindly she also a strict mother. This can show when she asks Juno why she late back home and scold she don’t do that anymore because she is pregnant.

Bleeker

Bleeker is a 16 years old high school student. He often shows his poker face. He is a dull and low-profile person. Bleeker are also a person who have low ability in solve problem in daily live and low ability to express he felling and though to others. This is because, when Juno tell him that she gets pregnant because of do sex with he, he doesn’t give any suggestion or method to solve the problem but just give a cold reply and he don’t wan his mother know about this pregnant thing because he wants to keep he good image in his mother mind. But, even though he’s very dull, he still knows to “tempt” Katrina go to she houses and then invited she go prom with him.

Mark

Mark is a middle-aged married guy and he wife name is Vanessa. He is a good husband and he follow whatever he wife’s opinion to maintain this marriage. For example, he put always all the impossible music dream and hobbies because his wife doesn’t support and like and be a guy what he wife want him to be. Their marital status was let people feel perfect, harmony and happy because of endure between both of them. But, all this situation destroyed when Vanessa decide to adopt a child. Even though Mark no really agree with this action, but he just keep quiet because it is Vanessa wish. In addition, Mark are not ready to be a dad because he most prefers first to thrive and then wife. So, all this emotion exposed when Juno go his house find Vanessa to show the baby status and grow in she tummy. On that time, she tells Juno all he opinion and decision that make Juno angry and freak out because she realizes that this is not the happy adopt family that she wants to find to her unborn baby. In this case, finally we can realize that Mark actually have problem with Vanessa opinion but always hide it because don’t want destroyed their relation and he always stick with his dream. So, all the problem between Mark and Venessa end with a divorce agreement suggest by Mark.
