Being fit improves your mental strength as when you are doing exercise you discipline yourself and have self-control with a clear and open mindset. When you set yourself a goal to improve your target by just a bit more than the day before you put yourself out of your comfort zone and increasing your capability. 2. Fitness Reduces your stress and improves happiness. Everyone deals with stress worrying about many different things. A positive mindset is the most important aspect of dealing with stressful situations. When exercising, endorphins are released make you joyful and happy.

Multiple scientific studies have investigated the relationship between physical fitness, physical activity and cardiovascular health. Exercise lowers blood pressure (high blood pressure leads to major heart diseases), being overweight puts stress on the heart on the heart which can cause a heart attack of stroke.

Why do we do fitness testing? We do fitness testing to test our capability and strength of certain areas of the body to compare it to other athletes and find out our weaknesses, strengths and what needs improvement. Another reason we do fitness testing is because it makes it easier to monitor progress and find out how effective a training programme is. By doing fitness testing and testing your capability’s it allows you to set personal goals for yourself, so you can gain perspective on how this activity is benefiting you.

These are the fitness results of a student. As the graph shows the athlete has excellent cardiovascular endurance, power and co-ordination. Followed my super muscular endurance and good/average agility and speed. However, athlete needs to improve on their balance and grip strength as they got a below average rated result. Based off these results some sports that would best suit the Athlete would be water sports like swimming, water polo and running. This is because the student has excellent endurance, power and flexibility which are all important aspects of swimming. The Athlete would also be suited to long distance running because of endurance and also some athletics events like high jump because of excellent power, flexibility and co-ordination.

Some actives the Athlete could do to benefit and improve balance are Forearm side planks, Single leg squats and Squats on a BOSU ball. These all improve your core and leg muscle strength to help improve stability. To improve speed some exercises could be Alternate leg bounds, skipping and Hill Sprints. These are effective because they help develop the main running muscles and Neuromuscular development. Lastly, to improve grip strength the athlete could do Dead Hang, resisted hand openings and Bar Hangs which all further develop and strengthen the wrist flexors.
