Environmental and Creative Adaptability in a Situation of Crisis

First of all, we must understand the meaning of adaptability, and what is adaptability stands for. Adaptability (noun) based on the Cambridge Dictionary, which means the ability or willingness to change(or be changed) to suit different conditions. In the Oxford Dictionary, adaptability also means by the capacity to be modified for a new use or purpose. In my opinion, if it is an ability, that means it can be taught and be learn, that the explanation of that each person should have the basic capability to be adaptable and without this, we would not be able to survive in this world full of challenges. Adaptability skills or adaptation as a skill refers to a person’s ability that enables them to fit the changed circumstances in the environment by self new actions or strategies. Our lifestyle always changes depending on the world changes. An adaptable person can learn from experience and ability to deal well with the problems of business or personal life. If we were seeks to be adaptable, needless to say that we have to be in a position to evaluate and adjust to every different situation, roles, and responsibilities that come towards each day. Being adaptable with plenty of resourcefulness is better that being flexible and agile, in order to respond effectively to the challenges and to grab new opportunities. As mention on top of, adaptability skills is incredibly important as results of world is changing; things now amendments at a far greater speed and pace than ever before, we have seen this happen in recent years, so, by applying this skill is a top one most valuable abilities for the solution where we can possess as it allows us to survive, develop, create, and learn to attain success.

And by learning how to be more adaptable, we also become better equipped to respond when faced with a life crisis. So how do we begin to develop this quality in ourselves and how do we, develop this in others. Adaptability is divided into a two-part process, that brings the concept of adaptability. The first adaptability concept is flexibility; willingness to adapt. The formula for flexibility is confidence, tolerance, empathy, respect for others and being positive. The second part of the concept is versatility which means our ability to adapt. Intrapersonal, interpersonal and technology are the dimensions of adaptability. Intrapersonal involve in our physical, emotional, cognitive and behavior to addressing the unsure and unpredictable. As an instance, emotional, we have to manage our stress especially when facing a hard time and think creatively in resolution drawback. For the interpersonal, such as race, ethnicity, and nation; we were looking over to develop a good relationship with others because we live in multiple generations. It is environmental adaptability or most aforesaid as culture adaptability. Meanwhile, the technology dimension is about the acceptance of new or recent technology and innovation.

Flexibility and adaptability skills are among the highest ten required employable skills and abilities widely by almost every companies because it is necessary needed for all type of job positions and professions, that shows our readiness for everything. Marketing sales, advertising, management, and business development are such careers that particularly require a high level of these skills. Today’s life and work environment needed way more than thinking skills and content of knowledge. It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change. - Charles Darwin

According to Charles Darwin, the one that most responsive to change, surely will obtain more opportunities (or what we are presented with) that invite us to adapt successfully. Doesn’t this mean grip modification rather that our natural first reaction, which is to resist it?. Adaptability in our world today means a whole bunch of things:
Keeping calm in the face of difficulties. Persisting in the face of difficulties. Taking on new challenges at short notice. Saying “YES’ to challenges. Dealing with changing priorities and workloads. Improvising. Bouncing back from setbacks and showing a positive attitude. Keeping an open mind. Seeing the bigger picture. Probably all of those above, and more. When we intentionally put ourselves outside our comfort zone, we grow, we transform into better versions of ourselves. Lastly, be prepared to adapt by regularly evolving and reinventing ourselves, in alternative words as simple as looking for opportunities to try out new things and being receptive to new ideas.
