Boys and Girls and Their Media Experiences in the Film

Meray Paas tum ho revolves around the lives of a standard couple, Danish and Mehwish have totally different wants and mentality that slowly drifts them apart.Ayeza Khan as Mehwish is a lovely woman from a middle-class family. She is married to Danish who loves her vastly. She has alot of expectation from life that Danish is unable to fulfil.Humayun Saeed as Danish is a simple minded and honest man who works in a government organization. His life revolves around his better half, Mehwish.They are each leading a happy life, however despite Danish’s best efforts, he's not capable to offer Mehwish the life that she needs.Shees Sajji Gul as Roomi is the only son of Mehwish and Danish.Adnan Siddiqui as Shehwaar is a wealthy and charming man. He has a charming nature and is aware of the way to manipulate folks. He's the owner of aa multimillionaire company in which Mehwish starts working.

The course of Nadeem Baig was great, but it was outstanding in this episode. The work of the film, the scenes length, the areas and the score of the base, every angle was fine. In this episode Mehwish and Danish’s son gets admission in school. Mehwish lies to her husband that she is promoted and now onwards she will come late from work. She had made plans with Shehwar,her boss,to go on a trip to Islamabad. Danish tries calling her wife, but her phone is powered off so he calls her boss, his phone is also turned off. From one of Shehwar’s worker he got to know that Shehwar is gone to Islamad and will be returning soon. So, Danish goes to airport and catches his wife with her boss. A lot of data shows that a woman is going to have an affair with a coworker and is more likely to report that ' my marriage is great and I'm super satisfied. I literally saw and took advantage of the opportunity.’ (Brown, 2019) There are 3 characters shown in this episode Mehwish, Danish and Shehwar Danish is a family man who loves his family more than anything else. He loves his wife and trusts her blindly. He makes breakfast for his son picks and drops him to school and even make dinner for him.

The open air shot scenes were absolutely amazing. During the daytime filming these scenes is completely a challenge, but Nadeem Baig has worked out how to shoot them convincingly and beautifully. I specially enjoyed the scene on the motor bike showing Danish and Roomi when they were going to Roomi’s school. Drone shots were used to show traffic on the road while Danish drives his son to his school The moving closeup shot of Danish and Roomi on bike was incredible that was shot in dim day light, it properly showed us the relationship between a lower middle class father and his son. The way the expression of Danish were captured, were stupendous it showed us that he is hiding his depression behind his smile. He works in a goverment office and drives a motorbike. He lives a very simple life, he tries his best to keep his wife and son happy. “a good man risks everything to do great and noble deeds” (Plutarch)

Even after catching his wife with her boss he does not say anything to her and remains calm. When her wife says “ ghar jakay maroo gay tou nahi” he replies “ office kay kaam say gayi thi naa tou phir kya problem hay?” this shows how much he trusts and loves his wife. Many men say there's too much at stake. They know that if they were found to be unfaithful, their wives would feel terrible, and their marriages might be at risk. ( Neuman, 2012). He has a very positive and calming personality. He does not share his problems with anyone and thinks that he can solve his problems by remaning calm.In his conversation with mateen sahab he says, “meri zindagi may koi dosri aurat nahi aur na he may dukh kou perform kar raha hoon may apni biwi say bohat pyar karta hoon itna kay mujhay kabhi kisi dost ki zarorat nahi parhi.” This all shows his calmness, his positive personality and his love for his wife.”

If we take a look at Mehwish’s personality then we can easily summarise that she is hollow person who has a lust for money.She has no intrest in her family.She does not care that it’s her son’s first day at school.However,She does not let the people around her feel that does not care enough.The fact that her husband loves her so much does not stop her from cheating on him. So why is it that women cheat? The answer is as complicated as you could have imagined. Walker makes it clear that there are no particular reasons for infidelity. Some women cheat in order to avoid boredom; others cheat as they feel neglected. Others still say that's because they want to (Brown, 2019). Her boss is successful bussines man while her husband works in goverment office. Mehwish goes to Islamabad with her boss to spent some time with him without giving it a thought that its her son’s first at school.She’s a gold digger who goes out with her boss because of his wealth. She’s a liar and told her husband that she has got promotion and now she’s sleeping in a hotel room in Islamabad. She has a very clever peronality when her husband catches her with her boss on ai she acts like nothing has happened. The scene takes place at the airport it opens up with high angle shot of airport with next close up shot of Shehwar and Mehwish exiting from airport with gloomy light setting up mood for the shocking scene coming up next. Shoulder angle is given to Danish when he catches his wife with her boss, it shows the expression of all the character in that scene.

Mehwish also has a manipulative personality she asks her husband “ ghar jakay mujhay maro gay tou nahi?” her husband say “kyn?” she replies “may islamabad gayi thi” and he replies “ biwi tou 100 percent bolti hay ghar jakay sorry bool donga tumhay” this shows how clever and manipulative she is. “Controllers, abusers, and manipulative people don't question themselves. They don't ask themselves if the problem is them. They always say the problems is someone else.”( Darlene Ouimet) Shehwar is a succesful bussines man and boss of Mehwish. He is rich and a charming man with cunning and manipulative personality. He uses his money to get all the attention of Mehwish. He uses his power too give promotion to her and takes her to Islamabad. When Mehwish agrees to go out with him,he replies,“ thankyou Mehwish you made my day” this shows his cunning personality. When Mehwish says she’s afraid that Danish will beat him he says “ aisi ki taisi oski koi tumhay hath laga kay dekhaye.” This shows how manipulatve he is.

A realistic drama that is obviously dealing with many aspects. It shows danish's struggles in hard times and even in such hard phase his honesty isn’t shattered. A government officer who would have done alot just by his signatures and dealed in millions but stays to be the honest man and a loyal worker. Then comes the temptation of money and power. It shows that a girl should have the strength and courage to say 'No'. We have been seeing many women behaving this way and confidently saying them 'Manners'. This drama shows that how litte things aren't that simple. In short the hypocrisy of people and their low mentality.All they care about is money, status and a living standard.The serial perfectly portrays the life of middle class people. With great story we can see great direction by Nadeem Baig and we have got to appreciare cameraman’s skill too. They way lightning were used in the episode supported each and every dialouges and emotions in this episode. The location chosen by location manager were impressive,and kept up with every sentiment and dialouge of the episode
